Why are some people so interested in other’s careers? For instance, my ex-colleagues, former classmates, acquaintances, and even people who I met during interviews all stalk my LinkedIn every now and then. I find it weird

Recently received offers from both Alvarez & Marsal and Mercer for post grad. Leaning heavily towards A&M because they’ve been great during the recruiting process and I assume that’s a reflection of how they treat their employees. Is there anything I’m missing that should lead me to accept Mercer instead? (career growth, comp, work/life balance, etc.)

What are promotional raises looking like for your firm from associate to senior associate? Apparently GT is only doing a 7% raise (per multiple folks in the GT bowl). In the past, most folks have received at least 15% up to 25% if you exceeded expectations, from what I’ve seen. If other firms are higher, I might consider jumping boats because 7%, even mid pandemic is a slap in the face. Especially for someone who exceeded expectations.
