Currently work at AWS in Business Intelligence and am looking to transfer into Product Management. Looking at MBB eventually. In my experience, most people from MBB have FAANG as their exit op. Why?
Wasn’t planning on jumping, but got a call for job in Silicon Valley with opening number $195/200 base, 30% bonus, “lucrative RSU grant.” I’m 1+6 post grad, thoughts on this being high or normal?
How to get over imposter syndrome? Came from consulting and moved into a program manager role and I’m the first hire in this role and have the potential to build out a team and make lasting impact. Its week 1 and I feel like I’m in way over my head! How do you shake this feeling? I know I can do the job but I am sometimes my own worst enemy when it comes to pushing myself outside my comfort zone. Hubs has been helpful in hyping me up but I still feel so imposter-y.
Left public accounting as an Audit Manager to take a Controller position in private. Realizing I don’t want to get stuck in a Controller position LT and would like to possibly be in FP&A if I stayed in private. Have always had an interest in FDD and I am considering leaving private for FDD. Any thoughts on this potential move & if it would improve my chances of getting into FP&A later on?
Would you follow the money or the name brand? Have 2 consulting offers, one from Big4 with literally same salary and role and 1 from boutique (quickly growing and cool industry) for 25% higher base

I live in a Rockrose building and if anyone is looking to move into any of their luxury buildings in NYC, DM me if you want a referral. We will both receive a $1,500 rent credit upon move in, so it’s a win/win. There are buildings in Battery Park, West Village, Midtown West, FiDi, LIC and offering 3-4 months free right now. https://rockrose.com/availabilities/
I mentioned during the interview process that I had a young daughter and the conversation immediately went to “you saw this position requires 25% travel, right?” I should’ve never said anything. 😔

I hate it when I gain 10 lbs for the role then I realize I'm not even an actor, I'm just a consultant.
After 14 years in the industry, looking at switching careers to Account Management/Sales in tech. Any experiences to share on Salesforce ‘Enterprise’ Account Executive position? What does a ‘day in life’ look like for a EAE? What are future career prospects and how is the mobility between and up the verticals within the company? Currently in strategic account management and sales position with exposure to c-suite.
Career progression for PM roles in Tech? I’m on track to be qualified for a Program Manager, Talent/HR/OD position at a tech firm in the next couple years. I understand the pay is solid ($130k+ salary depending on exp. and location) but I’m curious about career progression. Does anyone have experience as a Program Manager, Talent/HR/OD at a competitive tech firm, and with exit opps afterwards? Are we talking Sr Mgr, Director, or VP level positions in industry?
Been working on large IT/ERP implementation projects. Does industry matter a whole lot when trying to exit? Context: been working in Higher ED - would like to exit to Finance. Continued...

Considering an MD position at Accenture and need to give comp expectation, its on Strategy side. Of course its based on my own need and desire, but like to hear from (ex)MDs at Accenture if 400k sounds like a reasonable ask for base. And can anyone help me understand the difference between L4 and L3? For reference, I am a Senior Principal with almost 2 years executive industry experience post consulting. Thanks for any insights!
Say there are two candidates, Candidate A has a 6/10 resume and candidate B has a 9/10 resume. If Candidate A has a referral at MBB, are they more likely to get an interview than candidate B? Or will they be about the same?
Hi! What are some of your best strategies for coming up with a name for a side project? I’m about to start a food related site + dinner club but am having a really hard time coming up with a good name
If we had an advertising union no one would be worried if their projects paused right now because they would have health care and a weekly stipend if laid off. Unionize now!
If I had to pick my most hated concourse of any concourse I've ever been in, it'd be G at ORD T3. What about you?
I get nervous when I have to communicate project status in huge conference calls. Any tips?
with niche firms, they have solution architects and technical architects. with larger ones - accenture, big 4 and the desi ones, they don’t. i find the projects of niche firms more successful

Wish I were a baby right now. I'm tired and hungry and it would be so nice to take a nap and then cry until someone feeds me.
What’s your favorite memory from when you were a Consulting newbie? For me - tie between the panic I experienced the first time I missed a flight and when I expensed a $35 dinner. Good times.
I saw that Accenture is looking to hire pen testers. I know that salary isn’t listed, but what is a range I can expect? I’m just not trying to be taken advantage of and be drastically under paid like my previous employer.
What are your success stories about succession planning? I was hired as a lateral to work on/help sustain a retiring partner's book of business. During my interview in 2017, he said his target retirement would be 2019-2021. Now, after a good 2020 (for our practice area), he mused that he might not retire until 2025. I don't want him to feel pushed out, and have a lot to learn from him, but I do want to help/plan handoff of work. Interested in guidance for how to have these conversations!
Has anyone here interviewed for Accenture’s product analyst role? Have an interview coming up tm and would appreciate any last minute advice. I really don’t know what to expect but have been studying the cracking the pm interview book
How to best allocate time, from first to final round of MBB process for 2-3 weeks? Just keep doing cases daily / focus on behaviourals / read white papers/ relax a bit ?
How difficult is it to pivot out of healthcare? Applied to be a business analyst for current company (1.5 years in) but am more interested in different industries. Thoughts?
