I had a phone interview with them, told them what type of work I was interested in doing (operations consulting, active problem solving, specific things in my industry) and what I wasn’t interested in (strictly Project Management). Everything went great and they ask me to come in for a face to face.
I get in the room and there is the same lady who phone screened me and her HR intern. The phone screen lady says “just so my intern could hear it, could you go over what we talked about on the phone”. So I do my elevator pitch again. She asks some follow up questions, I reiterated the “no PM” thing. Then I ask for more information about what they’re looking for and the recruiter answers:
“We’re looking to build out our Project Manager capability"
I left 15 minutes into the interview. What a waste of my day
Sometimes it isn’t you, it’s the client taking super long to move on time sensitive matters which unfortunately affects you. Had a similar problem when I was waiting for my clearance to go through
why lie and say you’re getting an offer though? And was getting some responsiveness that they were awaiting SOWs but now just silence.
Same thing with me. "Waiting for SOWs" shit place
I’d have to agree. This is a firm for a special audience. I wasn’t impressed. Their HR team is severely lacking
Which office? Also, unfortunately, recruiting is not the same thing as the company
SA1- of course but it’s the first representation of how they run their practice. First impression is kind of important
