Has anyone tried EMDR to deal with childhood traumatic experiences? I'm not talking about things like physical abuse etc. but due to separation from parents at a young age which was driven by circumstances and decisions parents made. Due to this, I don't feel much connection with my parents. It has impacted my romantic relationships and causes constant anxiety at work because I feel like a helpless child inside, lack confidence and self worth and fear failure. Appreciate any EMDR experiences.

I’ve been in a major struggle lately. The past 4 years I’ve had brain surgery, cousin committed suicide, mother had a stroke, and my grandmother fell and landed on her head last week. After my surgery, I was diagnosed with depression, OCD, PTSD, and severe anxiety. I’m officially epileptic and now limited to what I can do outside. Point is, it has been so hard to focus on work but I really do enjoy my job. I’ve had seizures on and off lately. Any advice?

This will be weird, but serious question. My three year old girl does this thing where she gets in child’s pose, balls up her blanket between her legs and then appears to be humping it. Will do it especially when she getting tired / close to nap time. But it is weird, like she is rubbing herself there. We plan to mention it to the pediatrician next time we go. Living it up in the city.

I just bought a new Subaru around for about $25k and my parents are very mad. Why? Because the car doesn’t isn’t a luxury brand and doesn’t show status. I’m 25 and earning well but didn’t make sense to spend money on “status” when this Subaru is fun and very safe (especially for winters conditions). I don’t regret my choice but man, it sucks to see my parents wanting me to spend extra money for shallow reasons.
