Should I wait to get promoted to manager now or try and leave? Do you feel if I stay for manager that my exit ops will be better? I also wonder when recruiters see my experience they’ll wonder why I didn’t promoted and think less of me. Thoughts?

I started a new role recently. During the hiring process, I negotiated to be remotely 100% and come into the office (I’m somewhat local) for major events or trainings. My manager left his role a month after I started, so I’m temporarily reporting to his manager. I emailed him recently so he would be aware of this arrangement, but he doesn’t seem supportive of this. I would not have taken this role if it wasn’t fully remote. Is this still negotiable?

I am looking for RPA CoE lead/manager role. I have 2 years solid RPA experience setting up the practice from ground up, setup governance, support processes and managing the implementation of over 60 bots to production in SAP, HR, service desk, etc with ROI of 28000 man hours. Moreover I did business development with internal teams to get teams started with RPA. I have over 20 years IT experience including infrastructure and project management.

Got laid off in March. While I’ve been trying to stay busy with a side project, I can’t help but worry about how long it’s going to take for agencies to start hiring again.

Accepted non tech L5 role for 250. From original offer slight base Increase, lots more equity. Was really excited to get role and Didn’t ask for sign on given equity increase. Did I shoot myself in the foot for not asking for more or is this good offer? (Please know, I’m super appreciative for role, not trying to complain, more so just curious).

I went from trying to be a rock star associate to just doing the bare minimum to not get fired. What does it take to get fired in big law? Besides extreme outlier situations like sexual harassment/mistreatment of staff/insubordination, etc.

How did you go about it? I’d like to take some time after a wedding for traveling and an extended honeymoon next summer!

Good brand of oxfords that I can wear for many years? Hate hate hate wearing heels. Love the look of oxfords, plus I can wear them any time of year. Budget unimportant since I'm not buying immediately

What are your tips for influencing an ineffective work culture? I’m 8 months in at a company and am learning that most leaders don’t seek to fix the root cause of the many issues the company faces. I’ve tried my best to offer solutions and volunteer for projects, but each department is so siloed, it’s going to take major initiative from multiple teams to right size the business. I’m a Manager, but don’t have the authority to make major changes. Has anyone else experienced this?
