Slept with PPMD. Both unmarried, not proud. Now they want me to join engagement (we had been talking about it prior) - very high profile engagement, in a level-up role. I should say no right?

I’d stay away from the project altogether! I’ve usually been able to tell when two people at work are hooking up, do you want to get into dealing with noise about nepotism etc…esp if account is important (id guess a lot of people would want to get on it / stay on it and get great reviews…the project I mean)
in any case have fun 🤩

If he is PPMD how come he is still single?! Should be above 35 I guess! May be worth finding if there were other girls too in the past in similar situation! I would keep work separate to love as if any negativity happens in future that should not impact your career!!

OP is woman PPMD Is male. I can speak on behalf of the male race that no man after banging his hot ppmd would say “not proud “ 😂😂

likefunny

Males are a race?!

If you join, is it implied the relationship will continue?

likesmarthelpful

This is actually one of the more important questions/replies on this thread. Please keep this in mind/any potential repercussions if your relationship ends, OP.

like

Consulting answer - depends.

What level are you?

Will the PPMD directly be managing you? If so - No.

If it will only be minimal interaction and you don't think you will get into the same situation again, then Yes.

Strongly considering this!

Does the engagement come with a ring?

😂

Was it any good?

Yes, it was

I just wanna know how you ended up banging the PPMD

Did you keep any video or audio evidence or atleast a dress with 💦 Monica Lewinsky style? Would be good to use it to get a couple of hundred Ks from him

Seems like PPMD just wanted to save on the hotel expenses by sharing a room with you. 😂

Somehow that sounds weirdly logical

Lol I appreciate the many reactions here! Thanks for those offering constructive advice. He is wanting to go on day-time dates etc. and offered to keep things physically slow if I’m emotionally interested. He obviously doesn’t feel as put in a hard spot as I do (cue gender & power dynamics) but yeah I’ll talk to him about all this. It would be a hell of a project opp to lose, it’s the highest value and most successful project in the account; LCSP has a tight relationship with everyone on the project and it’s known as a career growth opp.

likeupliftingsmart

This sounds really sweet! Take it slow, be careful about others knowing (they will judge and probably make unfair assumptions), guard your heart, and have fun!! Who knows where it could go, but he sound like a good guy.

Naw. If anyone finds out, you could get in a world of trouble.

Agree!

Say NO. Please say NO. Whatever the role is, say NO. Save yourself.

Oh come on, what's the worst that could happen?

I find this hard to believe. I never met a PMD that I wanted to bang when I was at Deloitte. 😆

Need some help: So this is my 6th year (Senior Associate 3) with PwC and I know consulting is not for me and I want a new job. I’m not getting promoted this cycle due to health issues I had earlier in the year where I was out for a significant time.

Should I wait to get promoted to manager now or try and leave? Do you feel if I stay for manager that my exit ops will be better? I also wonder when recruiters see my experience they’ll wonder why I didn’t promoted and think less of me. Thoughts?

I started a new role recently. During the hiring process, I negotiated to be remotely 100% and come into the office (I’m somewhat local) for major events or trainings. My manager left his role a month after I started, so I’m temporarily reporting to his manager. I emailed him recently so he would be aware of this arrangement, but he doesn’t seem supportive of this. I would not have taken this role if it wasn’t fully remote. Is this still negotiable?

What are your tips for influencing an ineffective work culture? I’m 8 months in at a company and am learning that most leaders don’t seek to fix the root cause of the many issues the company faces. I’ve tried my best to offer solutions and volunteer for projects, but each department is so siloed, it’s going to take major initiative from multiple teams to right size the business. I’m a Manager, but don’t have the authority to make major changes. Has anyone else experienced this?
