How do you get past the “guilt” of leaving a company full of people who you like and respect? Currently on a project where I really cannot be replaced this last minute & have the project end successfully. My managers have also repeatedly checked in on me and made it very clear that they want to keep me / are doing everything they can to help me grow at the company. Still, I am not passionate about the work at ALL and want to leave. Just can’t make myself start looking because I feel so guilty.
Any tips for navigating client office politics? I’m working on a process improvement project involving multiple teams and one team feels threatened that my client team is taking work from them (and that their jobs will be in jeopardy as a consequence), and they are slowing down progress which prevents me from doing my job. Client execs are aware but have their hands tied. What’s the best way around this?
How have you all been setting boundaries from work? I've been working 10-12 hour days now since March and I'm just really struggling. And the rest is not because I do not get my work done. My client right now stretches between NY to AZ and Asia hours. So I start at 8:30/9am and do not get off the phone until 10pm, sometimes 11pm.
I was offered a position at Deloitte for ~26k more than I’m making currently, but they told me that in 2.5 years when the contract is over I will be out of a job. Obviously I’ll be able to network within those two years and probably find something more permanent, so it’s very similar to gig work at BAH. I also just started a new project at BAH last month so I feel uneasy leaving after a month. Can someone at Deloitte give me more insight about PDM work at the company?

Given the option of (A) running a small-mid size recruiting dept in a smaller agency, or (B) recruiting client-side / in-house marketing department — which would be preferred, and why?
Any company file GC on day 1 in NYC or NJ area or east coast. Maxing out in feb 2022 and on bench nothing is started. What I can do ? Please suggest. Skill set AWS/ DevOps/ Infra.
Does your firm have any cool bench programs or initiatives to help improve employee experience?
Hey Capgemini Consulting fish! How many people in Capgemini's US life sciences team? Any insights about their bench or pipeline would be really helpful. Many thanks!
6 months in at a new firm. 4th year attorney. Completely new practice area from what I did previously. The partner often sends the random potential client call ins my way. Many times, they have questions related to things I’ve never done and he only provides guidance if I can pull him away from something else to ask. I’m super low on hours but feel that it would be ethically wrong to take on a case involving an issue Im totally unfamiliar with and not confident handling. Wrong approach?
Any ideas to get off the bench guys? I'm a staff starting my second year. Tried reaching out to various folks in the firm but it's as if everyone's out to ignore me 😓😓
Lots of us are skilled at delivery but most sales books seem to focus on the pitch and closing... What are your best resources for learning to develop and nurture strong, lasting client relationships?
I spend my days without showering, just eating junk food and watching puppy videos. What the bench has done to me..
Need 8k more EQM's to hit AA EP before year end. I'm based out of LA area. Any recommendations for mileage runs?
Just got told by managers that my performance hasn't met their expectations. High performer last year. Am I getting fired?
Thinking about going to Iceland for a week next summer (assuming the covid situation is in a better place) - how much should I be planning to spend for two people?
This may be an odd one. I have an actuarial background and am an investment consultant for pension plans. No MBA. Any suggestions on how to make my way into PE?
Anyone applying to Ross? On the short answers - do you need to include the question stem in your response? (Looking to save words if I can)
What's your go-to lesson?
When is the new manager milestone week? I guess December right? Will plan my vacation around it.
After receiving Green Card (employer sponsored), is there a minimum period that one needs to work with the sponsoring employer before switching? Asking from a legal/USICS’s point of view, not ethically.
Working 2 full time jobs while remote. One makes 75k the other makes 85k. I only plan on using the 85k towards living expenses. What would You do with the other 75k? Go all in on 401k? Save for a house in the next 4 months (already have 35k saved for a down payment)? Diversify between crypto, taxable brokerage, 401k? I’m also debt free.
What’s the culture in Mckinsey Implementation like? Just got an experienced hire offer and wanna know what I’m getting myself into given it’s a newer practice.
Do you take the Chief Diversity Officer at your company seriously? Does anyone? Curious about how this role is typically viewed. Please explain your perspective.
Just started my 4th year teaching and finally feeling more confident and comfortable in the classroom. But being a young teacher, I feel like the online/hybrid learning would come more naturally to me (with how to navigate technology especially) since we did it all last year. Even so doing it this year, I’m still lost as to how to do it effectively. Anyone in the same boat?
Wokewashing fading out? I work for a Publicis Groupe agency that went hard to promote DE&I and pushing diversity hiring goals last year. I was optimistic but all the big talk has subsided significantly since the summer. Anyone else feelings or seeing this at your agency?
Working in Tokyo and the only American/consultant. Unlimited expense account. Consulting lottery?
Does anyone have any insight on experience hire interviews for CBIZ, Inc. ? Interviewing for a senior associate position. Wondering if it will be behavioral, technical, or if there is any case work
Received an invite for a superday very quickly after applying to Goldman. Recruiter never sent me the zoom password and then the password failed to work so everything started a full 15 minutes late. Interviews went great including a “they’ll definitely be a second round” but then I received the rejection email the next day. Do we think the tech issues played into that significantly or just my interview not stacking up to other candidates?
My utilization is below 60 percent and it's majority of internal projects and trainings but have good snapshots(reviews) should I still be concerned ?
