Slightly ironic: I’ve been in AI/analytics for almost 10 years, well before GPT made it the buzzword, but finding the right next role feels harder now because everyone is suddenly “AI.”
I’ve spent 2 years in the GCC, worked across 5 consulting firms, and I’m now independent, considering a move back to the U.S., and honestly in limbo.
For those in AI & Data: how are you finding serious work where real experience still matters?

I have friends that have back office positions but never received an offer letter & their company still doesn’t use them now. Has anyone given notice & started a new position without an offer letter? Do international companies provide something else in lieu of a formal offer letter? I know offer letters aren’t legally binding anyhow, but seems they’d provide something. (International = Canada)

Is it fair to say once you’re an LS consultant you can always fall back to a tier 2,3 firm? For context I’m looking to go from consulting to a hospital implementation role.

At a career crossroads. Post MBA, probably will make Manager in next year or two. Can go back to industry in a local office leadership role with a pay bump OR stay on path to Manager.
