Small team has recently lost one team member due to them leaving to competitor. I just got my offer and will be putting in my 2 weeks. Will this burn bridges with leadership?

Thanks for your responses! A little context on the project, it's a long term project. Things are really slow and this project doesn't provide any career growth in terms of learning. I am very unhappy and underutilized on this project. My biggest concern that we've had 2 turn overs on this project within 2 months and I feel that me leaving would show some instability to the client. However, like many have told me before, in the long run the firm doesn't give a shit about you and everyone is replaceable.

Don't know the full details of your working relationship but I was in a similar situation and offered some flexibility on when I'll be leaving (3 weeks instead of 2, etc). They appreciated that. As long as you handle it professionally I don't think you'll be burning bridges. Esp at big 4 firms where turnover is high

Just be respectful. If leadership can't see they've created an environment people want to leave, that's their fault.

Yourvleaving, bridge burnt, see ya

unless you want to go back to your current firm someday, does it matter if leadership gets pissed? regardless be respectful so they have little reason to get mad at you as possible

It matters, like all major firms our alumni end up in leadership positions at clients. So junior staff that burn bridges are remembered

Alright ladies. I met a guy that claimed to be divorced w/ 2 kids. For weeks he was only talkative via text during the day and seemed to be hiding stuff. I was suspicious and did a little digging on social media. He's still very married and has 4 kids, all under the age of 10, one still in diapers. His wife is a stay at home mom. I feel like she should know. Some of my friends with kids are telling me not to say anything because his wife probably can't leave him. What would you do?
