Your union is not doing their job if they aren’t there for you. Is the union district based or like NEA which is national? We have NEA.

In a small town everyone is related or associated in some way. Be very careful.

like

Exactly. That’s why I’m struggling and looking for advice.

Can you talk to someone from your state union?

“Suck it or be fired” is not advocating for you at all! Go above your union rep to the state level. Bring documentation not just accusations.

Clarification: my DISTRICT, not my union is the “suck it up or get fired” entity. My union rep is doing what she can, but even she has said that in a district like this, the insulation is often miserable to navigate on a daily basis.
