I’m contemplating and researching a SaaS product for SMBs. How do I go about researching the sales cycle period aside from asking the customers? Do SMBs have the shortest SaaS sales cycle?

I work in a small company. My small sales team is amazing, I’m the first SDR, super happy with my managers and learning a lot.
The CEO though is always getting in the middle and micromanages me to exhaustion.

In June I started a new role, but recently out of the blue I was let go as "not a good fit". There were no warning signs, I wasn't on any type of goal program and had just gotten my first deal. I was also working on a few others. At the time my mother was very ill and in the hospital, thankfully she's better. The employer knew this and to let me go in this manner as well as it's the holiday season, it's really starting to bother me. I wonder if there's any recourse?

What are your thoughts? I recently went through an interview at a start up where I had to present my ideas on different lead generation tools for an adjacent vertical (example: lead gen for physicians, while the actual job is for dentists). This mock presentation was 45 minutes where I was encouraged to get creative in lead gen techniques and build an effective sales process.
After 2 days I was told the team was reevaluating the position need and they wouldn't be hiring. (See more below)

I had an interviewer show up late to an interview and then apologize and say that he’s handling an emergency situation. So, I’m relatively flexible and I say that I’m totally fine rescheduling and he says he’d rather just do the interview. He didn’t have his camera on, he’s in the car driving and talking to me. At the end he gives me his objections and I counter them and then he gives me “an assignment”. To write him an email marketing the company. These are all red flags right?
