And why bash a whole generation for using a platform? I'm sure Facebook was bashed, and MySpace, etc...it's the new thing. Either get on the train or leave the station.
And this is why some creative remains in the dark. You should really focus on the awesome (and super creative) opportunities that lie within each social platform, rather than bash them. #lifestreaming

Fuck everyone under 35ish?
You're saying "#fuckmillennials" when in our lifetime we've (yes I'm a millennial) been exposed to a multitude of social platforms, progressing country values, and just a different way of thinking than previous generations. I'm sure your parents generation was saying the same thing as you. Embrace the fact that younger consumers matter for brands and always have. Snapchat changed the game completely and anybody fighting that is stuck in the past
Why is that bad?
^Probably coming from someone who uses Reddit despite its terrible interface.
Does anyone wonder why snapchat is more intuitive for younger users versus older? Do you think they are inherently gating out an older audience? For example: Facebook is for your family and Snapchat is for your friends/circle.
Snapchat may not be the most intuitive user experience, especially for new users, however there are some really cool content opportunities and engagement opportunities there. Over the summer we ran a snapchat filter for an entire day and garnered 43M impressions. We were estimated to get between 8-13M. It's a lot of fun.
Wtf is this...
I think it's a generational thing. We tend to have more patients or even like to figure out how things work. I personally like tapping and swiping around to see what works.
Haha #LIFESTREAMING!
Friendster was the smartest one, before MySpace and Facebook. In these digital spaces, wining the use beats having the best product. We just buy eyeballs and try to keep their attention.
I just wish someone intelligent designed the interface. It looks like someone's 8th grade project from a coding workshop.
Don't use Reddit at all ^
There's also an exclusivity that comes with a difficult UI. You see something cool in your stories and you just HAVE to figure out how to do it. Then you're "in the know".
