Update your talent link and indicate that you are interested in working abroad. Speak to your RP and coach and tell them about your interest. Go to our global mobility site and search for available roles. There's a bunch of things you can do

like

Do you speak the language? If not, unless you're a SME or Manager+, it'll be difficult. Japan is more likely than China for non-language speakers

No one knows. It's all a myth.

I think the point of it is to make the process of working with Pwc China and Pwc Japan easier, rather than having more projects/sending more US consultants over there ;(

I've looked at global mobility. It sounds like it's riddled with all kinds of red tape, need support from all kinds of people on both sides, have to apply, can only apply for 1 position at a time, etc. I feel like at other firms you can just be staffed on an international project. I guess that's what we get for having a "Network of Firms"

Where is this global mobility site where we can search for roles???

Search global mobility on spark. Will be the first thing that comes up

.

Need to transfer to an office overseas due to visa issue. I would say leveraging your own connections rather than relying on global mobility. As least in my case, GM won't get involved until I get an offer from another member firm.
