Sell it or keep paying property tax
2nd time home owner here. Bought first house straight after grad and moved to better area last year. The whole process was pretty smooth, so I am not too concerned abt this. In fact, the seller of 2nd house was in China and was still able to do all paperwork for title etc. of course ideally you want to do all that while in US at least. Aap bunch of my desi friends in Texas were let go and they moved to B1 visa to stay a while, so US travel, sell house etc
I would also like to know what options are available for those of us who bought property (house) here while on h1b
Buying properties without certainty was a stupid move to begin with! Don’t sell it for a low cost and do something even stupider. Wait and see how things pan out
Don't you think though M2 that there's some element of risk associated with buying a property not knowing if you will be around the next extension. And it's only very recently the EAD for spouse as well as the 60 day grace period after losing a job came about.
M3 people have been buying houses for ages now on work visas. It isnt meant to show you will be here forever, just that instead of throwing rent money away, you put it in a mortgage.
If you decide to keep the property, there r property management firms charging around 10% of rent
