If they want to be first movers in a positive way for their employees, add an extra week of PTO to everyone.
I'll be the first mover tf outtahere smh
On the first day of unlimited PTO, send your team and manager an Out of Office invite for 7 weeks 😂

My boutique went to it a year ago. Paid us out 1/2 the value of our pto. Probably came in handy when laying of 10% of our firm this year.
Tbh, it works for me but my charge goals are probably much lower than they would be at EY.
Unlimited PTO is a farce. It’s a win for the company. There’s virtually zero benefit to the employee. No PTO accrual means no payout when someone leaves. And it’s pretty widely known that people tend to take less, not more, time off with unlimited PTO because they either feel more guilty or because the PTO still needs to be approved. They sure talk about it like it’s great for you though!
C’mon in, the water’s fine.
My firm has “unlimited”. Hint - it’s never really unlimited. There’s standard time off they expect for you to stay within. Otherwise, I would take off once a week lol
This you now can have unlimited 5 weeks off a year. It’s like the old unlimited data plans that throttled you after a gig.
Come to Deloitte!
We have an unlimited PTO policy as well. Don’t feel too strongly either way but I’ll say one benefit is there is virtually no real approval process as long as you let the PM know. If your on the bench, no approval needed.
