My firm called the delta variant “a blip” and expects us back at least 3 days a week starting in September. 🙃

DC just reinstituted its indoor mask mandate for all people, regardless of vaccination status, so it’ll be interesting to see what the firm says on that front.

God I hope not

Is it weird that I never want to go back to the office but I also want to keep my office? Like for the once a month that I need to print something big or just want a change of scenery? And don't say hot desks are the answer, that's for startups. Lol I want the best of all worlds.

like

A7, I don’t think it’s weird at all. But your employer would probably not allow that.

September 2022

Next September. Let’s be real.

They said September 2020 then September this year 🥺🥺🥺

Who knows at this point… senior leadership at my firm is very eager to have us all back in September but then if one of the Southern US offices has to lock down, they will probably decide it’s “unfair” to just reopen the Northeast

Nah fam

Those who are saying September 2022 - what is this based on? Did your firm tell you that or is that your personal belief based on delta developments (or maybe something else)?

Got it, thanks. My sense of humor got killed by years of “pls fixes”, i think.

funny

I never left

I just got an offer for a part time internship. Combines both my current job skills (I don’t like my current job) and my passion. I want to take this and quit my current position, and it feels like a great transition position, but am a bit nervous to do so. However, I’ve been getting interviews recently and have enough savings for a few months if need be. Any advice or thoughts appreciated! 🙏

Hi all I just got my H1B very recently and don’t know much so please be patient with me! I am planning to travel from Chicago to Baltimore just Monday - Thursday and only for next week. Do I need to file an LCA and have it approved before going? It is obviously not going to get approved in time so this is more a “should I cancel my trip” question

I’ve long disliked the term ethics. Definitions of ethics all refer to morals. Morals are very personal and vary a lot from person to person, culture to culture. Law is how we as a society express our preferences and impose rules and restrictions on ourselves. So the question should never be about whether companies can be ethical. What does that mean? One person thinks eating meat is unethical, another thinks it’s perfectly ethical. Companies should focus on complying with the law.
