So! As many of you begin to prepare for a return to school, I prepare to exit the classroom with Friday being my last teacher workday as I switch careers. I guess I wanted to say that I wish you all well and the best of luck. I hope mental health becomes a focus going forward. I hope that teachers can be at the center of decisions instead of everything always being for the students. How old are you and what is the biggest problem in your life right now?

Looks like a massive Exodus happened in Deloitte? Trying to staff a project and there is literally no one to staff with (at least Salesforce practice) and we are having to reach out to contractors. Is this a result of layoffs that happened last year and folks are purely unhappy with pay (not considering project pressure as that can vary/be subjective)? For folks who have been here for a long time, is this a common occurrence or is it especially bad this time around?

Honestly, I’m done with covid. I’ve done all I can do, the rest is in God’s hands. Come at me telling me about how I don’t care about anyone but myself, x y and z. I quarantined, masked, vaxxed. What else can I do? I’m going to start living life like it’s 2019 again.

I consider myself a gen xer. I feel that in the past, longevity and loyalty to a company was the trend. Now, i see ppl with resumes and they stay for less than a year in a job and change jobs constantly. The younger generation and are so eager to move up the ladder. I wonder if the move up is too fast and is really justified. Or perhaps the younger generation feels a lot more entitled and are more aggressive. Thoughts?

HELP! I just got a BCG consultant offer. PwC paid for my MBA. I still need to work here for 3 more years before not owing any of it back (currently would have to pay 100% of it if I left). Is the move worth it? Or should I maybe push to move to Strategy& (internal move) instead of BCG?

I just accepted an offer at another big4 and I feel so blessed to be making $130k in LOCL as a 23 year old with less than 1.25 YOE. And I find it funny that I'm gonna be "senior" consultant/associate at my age and YOE. I don't know jack shit, and will completely understand if my clients/senior peers don't give me any respect at all. Thank you covid and the great resignation for this wonderous and hilarious opportunity.
