How much maternity leave did you all take? I get 12 weeks paid but I’m thinking about taking additional unpaid leave. I feel uneasy about coming back to work after 12 weeks but curious to hear everyone’s experience (and if you regret not taking more at the time). Trying to figure out my ML plan and how much time off to take.
Junior attorney at a big law. Ever since COVID and WFH, the firm requires us to release our hours every day. If we don’t, we get called out or worse, get treated as if we didn’t work any hours. It’s an easy task and I never fell behind releasing my time, but psychologically, I feel so restless because we get staffed on how much we billed the day prior and this system fails to take into account the extreme ebb and flow of transactional group. Will daily release become the norm in big law?
Looking for a Manager and a Sr Analyst for search marketing (SEM). PM me if interested in working for a large agency in NYC. No remote. No recruiters
Working from home, with my 2 little ones because I cannot afford childcare. My mental health has suffered so much & I am so unhappy. I feel so stuck and resentful. I just want to cry, all the time.
Any other extroverts NOT okay? WFH has taken a huge toll in me, and I am not the person I was back in March? Any advice? I’m desperate to not feel depressed anymore.

What are the expectations for someone going into forensics from audit at a senior level? I’m worried about the learning curve with working remote...anything I can do to better be prepared?
I love the company I work at but they are forcing everyone to return to office after two years working fully remote and the most successful eight quarters the company has had in years. People are leaving left and right forcing me and other team members to pick up the slack. For many reasons I do not want to return to office and they are standing firm on their policy. It has forced me to consider other opportunities. Anyone have any recommendations on remote opportunities?
My division has a PD day for teachers while the students are having a remote learning day. On the itinerary for our workday (for which we were expected to come IN) includes a one hour VIRTUAL webinar (on content that could be covered in 20 minutes total, yet this is our 4th hour so far), and FOUR hours allotted for department discussions of ONE lesson that was taught using the content of the virtual webinar. I have never felt so professionally insulted as I do this year!
Recommendations for great maternity leggings / yoga pants? I got one from target for my last pregnancy and it didn’t hold up well. I work from home so this may be my daily go to for the next 6 months.
Just spitballing here. If agencies really do allow for full remote next year, what would stop someone from just working from Paris? Anything? Cheaper cost of living than NYC but still a NYC paycheck. 10-6 work hours become 4pm-midnight which isn’t awful and most of your day is free to hang out around the city. Just no fancy dinners or nightlife. Is there a big flaw I’m missing?
How do y’all set boundaries in consulting WFH? Both boundaries in 1. time management and 2. personal relationship boundaries. 1. I feel like everyone schedules back to back meetings all day long in WFH and I can’t leave my computer, take lunch etc. 2. It’s so hard to gauge people’s personalities over the phone. Is it ok to be sarcastic? Is it ok when my managers ask me about my dating life etc.

I’m moving my family back to South America. Money goes further, remote anyways, and this country seems to be about to go over the cliff.
If the firm is really pushing hoteling and optimize work spaces, why can’t we just make work from home mandatory for certain days?

Is there anything I can do about a terrible recruiter at PwC? She’s been terrible at responding/getting the recruitment process going (been weeks) but keeps telling the Manager who referred me that she’s on it…
When you are on a longer engagement and your standard of dress decreases as time goes on. Starts off with crisp shirts and slacks and ends with wrinkled shirt under a fleece to hide your lack of care.
Does EY ask for SSN as a part of the application process? I’ve had two rounds (last on Thursday) thus far and was asked to update my application information today with my SSN and a few other questions.
When you're leaving the bar really late Saturday night and get an email from delta saying it's time to check in 😖
For those that exit consulting for the “Project Manager” role at Meta to work on Product Data Operations, what’s their career trajectory? As in, where would you try to go to next? Just curious as I’ve seen some exit to this role. Thanks! Facebook (Meta)
My manager every Monday: how was your weekend? *in my head: I got way too drunk, facetimed my ex, and ate Taco Bell at 3 am* Me: It was relaxing, thanks for asking Karen
Been a miles hoarder for my whole life (United, American, Delta). I just learned about fidelity (2% cash back on all purchases/no annual). Seems legit. Any one have experience?
How do you deal with the hyper-insecure, feel threatened when you approach, take everything as offensive and overthink anything you say to them, type of people?
Feeling horrible about bombing a case interview because I was specifically told all my interviews would be behavioral — I was up front that I was not informed and the interviewer was understanding but I really feel like I messed up horribly despite the other interviews going well — would love any stories of bad interviews to commiserate
