How is PTO valued? (Salary / 365) x PTO days? Or, (Salary / 2080) x PTO hours. My question is whether or not to factor in weekends. Deloitte
For those in a in-house position in Florida, can you please share your annual salary? Trying to get an idea of what to expect…
Looking for suggestions on this offer with PWC : 1) Designation : Consulting Manager 2) 158k base + 15k sign on bonus 3) Location : New York City
I have heard that HR people earn a similar salary to that of actual consultants. How true is that?
Going hourly rate for UX/Experience Director? Please add years of experience, city, and awards. Used to charge $145/hr but that was a while ago (then, 12 yrs, NYC and Boston, top agencies and financial institutions exp, top notch portfolio with deep strategic, UX, IA, interaction and usability work, some awards).
Just started at an agency in NY as a resource associate (entry level) but starting to be unsure about salary band...what’s the industry standard against how many years of experience you have ?
Curious about MD compensation at Accenture - anyone has a general sense of what that looks like?
For people who are familiar with work culture in Tokyo, how much embezzlement takes place? I see a good number of Japanese people on Instagram buying Bentleys and such. I'm confused how they can do so while living in a high COL with, on average, lower salaries than in the US. With the scandal at Nissan and how many executives were found to be stealing money from the company, I wonder if this is some unspoken secret about doing business in Tokyo? Unless their comp curve is extremely steep.
How does the partnership comp work at EY? Whats the buy in? Do they give interest free loan for buy? Is it only profit sharing or PS + salary. Also how to negotiate when offered partnership?
CSR owner here - is there ever a situation in which it's a better deal to transfer points to hotel/airline rather than simply buy on the Chase Rewards portal with the 1.5x points bonus?
Holding all compensation (base, variable + RSUs) equal, would you work for Facebook vs. where you are now? (consider other things like more work life balance, less upward mobility (?), brand perception, future economic landscape, etc...)
Looking for UI freelancers with 1-2+ years experience with Figma. We are mid project and lost talent due to a life event and need someone to pick up where they left off next week. Send me samples of past Figma work; bonus if you have illustration or light animation in your background.
Does anyone know the starting salary for Jackson Lewis in the firm's Connecticut office, as well as the billable hours requirement?
What is a good compensation package for an expat in the Asian markets, specifically Hong Kong, for a media related role?
Any mid-level copywriters looking for work? We had another writer leave and are looking to fill the position. It's a small shop with incredible creative leadership and fun food accounts. Trust me, you’ll get a lot of opportunities and have a blast. PM a link to your book and I'll tell you more.
Tip for new public accountants: try industry at least once in your life. You'll see what a normal office environment is like and how toxic a lot of firms are. I was lucky enough to intern in industry before starting in public, so I knew I would want out of public before I even started. But the people who never had a job before public accounting are really doing themselves a disservice by staying in public and thinking it's normal and letting themselves be burnt out
So I was laid off. Is it okay to talk about it at my next job interview? Feels like everyone knows anyway.
NYC vs Chicago - considering moving out of NYC (obvious reasons :-)), though we love the city and like diversity and energy for our kids to grow up (no suburbs). Any thoughts/experience on Chicago?
Thought experiment: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The US today is about to crumble from within, similar to the Soviet Union in the late 80s.
Hello folks, Can someone please refer me to these big 4? 13 years of experience into ETL testing, functional testing, QA and test management...thanks in advance
Is it just me or Marriott is the only one not telling you explicitly when your status expires? I know it’s pretty straightforward (EDIT: and it’s in the policies) but everyone else (all airlines, Hyatt, Hertz...) shows it clearly in the app and when you log in on the website...
Thoughts on NY Anomaly? I’m interviewing for a strategist position tomorrow and would love some advice.
Q for FAANG + Uber folks in US: is there a policy where once a candidate is rejected, they cannot be considered for any other position for 1 year? I.e. I’d like to just start applying en masse to shoot my shot, but I haven’t built up the network to put in referrals yet, so am I actually hurting myself if I end up being rejected at the screening stage now? We have this policy at my consulting firm, hence the Q.
How does the CSR lounge access work if my priority pass card hasn't shown up yet? Can I use it instead in the interim?
Had an interview 2 weeks ago that went really well. Haven’t heard a yes or no just emails asking me to stay tuned. What does that mean? Am I on a waiting list?
Is it wrong to not want a promotion? Ive been told I’m on track for one soon but I still have sooo much to learn at this level and I don’t feel ready to move up. I am, in fact, terrified of the next step and the responsibilities that come with it. Has anyone turned down a promotion and regretted it? Been glad about it?
How is spend at Marriott calculated? Just the nightly rate? Or the final bill that includes all sorts of tax?
Does anyone ( not currently a snoo rental user ) need a 30$ discount on your snoo rental ? DM me with your email address and will send the referral discount .
Random question about social security: if I switch jobs mid year and had already reached the max contribution to social security in my prior job (but am still getting the same % deducted in my new role), do I notify anyone or will I just receive the delta in the form of a refund during tax season?
Laid off from AMLaw200 firm due to coronavirus. Had great grades first year of law school. Top of class. Able to secure summer associate position at this firm, led to first year associate position. But I did poorly after the first year of law school and graduated below 3.0 gpa. Do I have a shot at another big law firm? Seems that so many place an emphasis on grades rather than relevant experience. *sigh*
I have been 😂😂😂 all morning all by myself. So, I started taking out my sew in cause this summer heat is killing me. I was about to take down the closure when I suddenly remembered that I had to be on a video call for work. So, I just brushed the closure and positioned myself in front of the camera as if I still have the full hair do. Front view is 💯. Back view is 🙈😂😂😂. When have you all had to improvise while WFH?
