Any Accenture Interactive account folks on what makes a successful Account Lead at AI. I've been approached for a "Digital Transformation Executive" role, but my knowledge of digital transformation/CX/BX is cursory at best. I crashed and burned pretty hard at Publicis Sapient (now back industry-side) and am wary of going back into the digital transformation space. However, the AI folks insist my general business background, MBA and brand strategy experience will translate to success.
Would it be possible to go from FP&A at a bank to investment banking without an MBA? Background includes transaction advisory and previous banking experience
I have an MBA and cpa.. currently doing technical accounting consulting, but would like to transition into a T2 firm management or strategy consulting position. Would anyone like to have a call and refer me to a T2 consulting firm?
Seeking to transition out of the current industry into cloud computing. Spent the last 2+ years learning and acquiring experience in AWS, CI/CD, Jenkins, AWS Pipeline, GitHub, and Terraform. Honing Bash and Shell scripting. Picked up certifications as a PMP, AWS Cloud Practitioner, and AWS Solution Architect Associate along the way. Already have an MBA. What is the best way to break into the cloud and/or DevOps community?
Hey guys - I work at FAANG right now, and planned on an mba in the next 2-3 years. Have an opportunity with McKinsey as a consultant. Always wanted to work there, but only for a short stint - feel like it will 1) boost my overall profile for an mba application 2) give me the experience I’m looking for before mba because post mba I’d like to focus on my own venture. Also folks at McKinsey - would love to hear what conditions there are for getting an mba sponsored at the firm. Thanks!
To the folks who pivoted from tech consulting pre-MBA to IB/PE post- graduation, how has your experience been? What would have been helpful for you to have known prior to making the switch?
Any thoughts on the MBA program at Boston University? Is Boston University MBA good enough for positions at FAANG or MBB? And what about the MBA program at MIT?
I have heard that McKinsey allows some BAs to move quickly to EM (although sounds like it’s fairly rare to be in 3 years?). When that does happen, do they manage post MBA associates, or just BAs?
Hmm what is the best ROI gig for someone with a JD, MBA, BS in Physics, and top 10 MSs in ECE and CS?
Hello people, Looking for an opportunity in Credit risk/Risk advisory/consulting / Rating domain of large corporates. Having had over 2 years of experience in credit rating of large corporates across segments (BFSI, Retail, Consumer goods, Trading, Auto /Defence ancillary etc) post MBA finance. Kindly assist/guide me for the same. Thank you very much.
"Baby if you were my wife I would treat you like a princess & wouldn't let you work". "But honey would like to take care of my JD and MBA debt too?" Silence.
Are these MBB preMBA access programs targeted towards under-represented pre-MBA industries? Assuming they’re not really looking for T2 consultants?
US fish here. Considering applying for an MBA internationally (INSEAD, LBS, HEC) as a way to pivot to working in the EU. I don’t have a visa so would need sponsorship, does this seem like it would be a possible gateway to getting to work in Europe? Or should I just try to apply for jobs instead. 2 YOE in strategy consulting
McKinsey: Is there really someone at your firm who made partner in 4 years after completing their MBA?
Anyone here take out massive loans for your MBA — and are you financially ruined by it? (Committing to a school tonight and looking for a few success stories to bring my blood pressure down a few notches)
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Currently a recent college grad and working as an analyst in financial services. Majored in Risk Mgmt and working a rotation within Risk. Contemplating whether I should go back to school for an MBA or JD? Would like to be in house counsel at my company with JD or Senior/Exec leader with MBA. Thoughts?
For MBA apps will it hinder or help you if you provide a list of other MBA programs you are looking into besides the one you are currently applying for?
When do you plan on telling your firms that you'll be leaving for an MBA in the fall or will you just give a regular two week notice?
Any advice (besides good GMAT) on how to get into a top MBA post consulting? Im a public sector consultant.
Open up? Sure, I think it's time. But to relax mask requirements just as we are returning from a spring vacation? I don't think it's a good idea...
Have you ever worked with a partner that points out every error you make (regardless if it’s nothing or a bigger error) but never points out anything good you do or says thank you? How do you not let it slowly chip away at your confidence and self-worth? I try to let it roll off my back, but it does ultimately affect me and my enjoyment of my job.
Can anyone in Accenture recently promoted to manager let me know what the initial compensation is? I've heard it's 72K, plus 5.7K car allowance and minimum 10% bonus. Can anyone validate this?
I’m vaccinated but getting very nervous about the delta variant. I’m reading a lot about pretty bad breakthrough cases. My husband is immunocompromised (but vaccinated). Most people at my office don’t seem to care at all about Covid, we don’t have a mask policy, etc. I’m getting really nervous about spending so much time in the office. Ugh
Google Classroom and Zoom was on the fritz all morning. Lord, I have never worked so fast at multitasking of talking to a few students on Zoom, the rest of the students through Go Guardian, texting parents through ClassDojo, and calling parents. I was only able to teach math and science 🤣
When I was hired as an associate, I was informed that associates are paid within a certain range based on their graduation class year. I negotiated my salary, but was told the firm could not pay a higher amount because of the range associated with my class year. Fast forward one year, a new associate is hired (same class year as me) and I find out that said person, who is of the opposite gender, is paid approximately $50k more then me. Any advice on how to handle?
Can I get some advice on apartment hunting in the DC area?? Have to be able to get to Penn Quarter and Catholic University via public transit. I am having the hardest time finding. 2bd + Den OR a 3 bedroom with in unit laundry for under $4300.
Leaving my gig. Have 55k in Roth 401k and 5k in traditional 401k. What should I do? Roll the 55k to my Roth IRA and then the 5k to my new employers traditional 401k?
Should I go home? Nyc > ATL. Much more worried about spreading something accidentally than anything else at this point, parents are saying if I Clorox everything and Uber to empty airport I’ll be ok..
Interviewed for a Sr leadership role and was given a take home case work to turnaround in a day. I negotiated timing but couldn’t extend the time - maybe I could have negotiated harder. Con’td
I have 5 years of experience in Client facing roles. I am expecting an offer from KPMG for the Software Engineering Associate role in the LA area. What is the salary I can ask or negotiate for if given an offer?
What is the minimum type of exit offer would consider taking? (Company, Group, Salary, Position). Essentially what tips the balance towards leaving your current job?
Baby's first trip to the dog park thus weekend! First time I've ever seen this puppy tuckered out.
I applied for JP Morgan and it still shows you are profile is considered for interview. It's been 15 days i haven't got a call or mail. What to do here? How cam i reach out to HR?
Conflicted on choosing recommenders. Am in FDD so it’s not like I have a constant direct supervisor…(work with a different team on a deal by deal basis) due to covid drop in the market I was pivoted to another service line for 6 months (eg working capital, restructuring, commercial diligence, etc) and am thinking of getting a supervisor from this since it was longer term than the typical deal (2-3 weeks). Does anyone have advice on this?
