Hello everyone does the gap of 1 month (or 15-20days) affect job opportunity or interview calls in IT jobs? Especially considering the current market scene..

I had my phone screen on Friday afternoon with the hiring manager. He told me he did 4 phone screens this week including mine and has 2 more this week. He told me the next step would be a second phone interview and then the Loop. I sent a thank you note afterwards. How soon after your phone screen were you told that you were moving forward in the process?

Is there a benefit to asking the interviewer about themselves during the interview process? Is this received positively, or is it seen as corny/trying too hard?

A prestigious outlet has openings for both a news writer and a news editor. The editorial position has crappy hours, but so it goes.

I meet the qualifications for both jobs. At first I had thought of only applying to be the editor, but then again, the regular staff writer position might also help my career in the long run, since I'm currently a bigger fish in a smaller pond.

Would I hurt my chances at one by applying to both?

I am onstantly getting through the Hiring Manager rounds for the companies I am interviewing for but after the peer rounds with PM/Senior PMs I am getting rejected. Ine of the companies was Walmart which had 2 back to back interviews with a Group and Senior PM and I got a reject. Can the fellow PMs give me some guidance as to what I maybe missing.

Job I applied to required an analytical screening test, then I spoke to the recruiter after passing it. Now there’s another lengthy take home assignment followed by 2 more interviews. Would you give up on it? Would you ever in this situation suggest/ask not doing the assignment?

Normal to not hear from recruiter or hiring manager for weeks / month+ after conclusion on all interviews?

Today evening I got call from HR regarding total experience /relevant experience and salary discussion, and he said that he will send link regarding BGV where I need to send the documents. Now again I got mail from talent acquisition team cc'ing the same HR that they have scheduled interview tomorrow at 5pm. How many technical rounds does it have?or is this interview is managerial one/ HR specific?
