$210/hr on 1099 in NE? 12 YOE... Take or stay?
Make $120k Accenture now doing tech implementations, just got offer 200k TC EY business consulting. I love my job, have a great WLB (working 20 hours per week, no travel, clear path to M in about 1.5 years) - am I an idiot for even contemplating staying? What I would be doing is more PPT/functional vs Onestream/technical which I do now.

Ask the range first. If you’re interviewing with other companies let them know and use it as leverage

Typically yearly RSU is most flexible for negotiation. Start there. Base less flexible but can move.
Ask for sign-on last—it’s one time therefore less valuable.
Yearly bonus is typically standard based on company/role. Some companies don’t offer it and if they didn’t mention it likely no point negotiating it if they don’t do it.
I worked for a tech company pre-IPO and my stock options would have been out of the money when they went public and since then, so don’t count on options making you a millionaire even if the company does go public

Congrats! How did you get the offer and do you have tech experience or are you helping out with strategy/sales/PMO?
There’s definitely hope! You just have to keep applying and tailoring your resume. I did all the things from reaching out to employees and recruiters to getting internal referrals to not doing anything special at all. Turns out I got an offer from a company that I had done nothing special for. The team was great and the opportunity is one that I’m excited for. Sometimes great things come at you out of nowhere! Just keep trying and don’t give up.
Thanks all for the advice! I officially accepted the offer today and was able to negotiate a slightly higher base and more RSU! Appreciate the help (:
First, make sure to thank them for the offer and ask for a couple days or the weekend to think it over. Use fishbowl and other online resources to understand what the typical range is for that position. Most recruiters expect a counter, so it doesn’t hurt to always ask. Remember that you never have to say anything about what your currently make. I would definitely ask about performance based bonus.
