Hi folks who’ve exited to PE ops, could you share your experience? How did you structure your search process/get the interviews (besides recruiter reaching out to you), what was the interview process and content, how did you prep for it? How did you know you’d like the work/wanted this path as opposed to other types of exit opps? What’s your day-to-day like once you’re on the job? Have only been in my role for month, but I dislike it. I’d really prefer something internal where I don’t have to speak to customers. The technology, I’m over it, there’s nothing I like. Would it be bad to switch so soon?

How do I launch an insurance agency?
Context: I just started a sales role 3 months ago State Farm. It’s my first time ever doing sales. Huge success so far, (nothing extravagant yet), but it’s only been 3 months. I’m currently selling 50+ policies a month.
I know sales isn’t everything it takes to start an Agency. Where should I try to pursue growth before starting an agency?
Follow Up Question: Is my boss hyping me up or is 50+ policies a month pretty good?

Need some advice on job quals:
Have an interview with a job I have a great fit with, but they list "excellent modeling skills" as a qual. I have some experience, but definitely not building from scratch. Also, this is a general strategy and low-tenure role so I'm hoping modeling is nice to have and possible to learn.
How should I approach this? Tell them directly where I stand and am willing to learn? More importantly, how do I not get psyched out that I'm not right for the role?

Just here to say that I miss my former bosses tremendously. They were warm and friendly people. I now work for someone much colder and though the work is better, I wish I had my cuddlier bosses back. 🥲
Does anyone work for Omnicell as a Clinical Trainer? I’m in the interview process now and communication has not necessarily been that great with it being seemingly rushed then with gaps and then being passed to other recruiters who asked me the same question and act like I should be further along in the process then having to get back to me because they need to talk to somebody else. It appears very disorganized but not sure if this is just an HR issue or if there’s a reason

How do you handle billing disputes? Already feel like we’re a steal compared to other firms, but it’s the pits when clients kvetch about the bill after working hard on their matters. For five figure disputes, anyone recommend collections? Don’t really want to institute retainers, especially since it doesn’t seem common for our practice area.

Something I’m struggling with as it relates to the rise of the “Karens”. I get it, Karens suck and are very real but why is it that women always have to deal with this kind of stereotype? Men, especially Trumpian white men, are just as bad about their own privilege. Maybe they handle it differently or maybe people are less inclined to record them? I don’t know. But somehow it feels like yet another divide between women. Just wish we could make it less about gender and more about privilege.

Anybody who sees themself as a “girly girl” work for a super male dominated client/dept?
I’ve been interviewing for a new role that would be amazing - client side, sizable raise, great benefits. Honestly a dream! But the only thing that worries me a bit is the company/industry is VERY male dominated (construction and infrastructure). I see myself as pretty girly and can’t help but fear not being taken seriously or similar issues internally and on the field. Would love to know your experiences!
Just did a search for “mansplain” but nothing came up! Who else wants to junk punch the next idiot who comes into a meeting late after you’ve already done their job, and have to listen to them 😩
Hi everyone! I start a new job at an agency I really admire on Monday and I'm having a severe case of imposter syndrome. Any advice on how to keep my cool?
I work as an AE and I genuinely hate it. Looking to move to a position where I do not just schedule meetings all day. Can anyone give me some advice if they have made the move from Acct MGMT to strat or design or project management? Any advice is helpful - please just be nice to me I'm a little fragile rn
I have an opportunity to join a small Animation studio as a producer that does some amazing work. I am currently at a large notable agency as a PM. The work isn't revolutionary but this is the best work life balance I have ever had.
Do I leave and take a risk to do something more exciting and rewarding, or do I stay in my current position and risk feeling stagnant and like I'm wasting my growth potential?
Any advice would be helpful!
