So got an offer from a company on Wednesday and sent a counteroffer on Thursday and only notification I’ve received is they are working on it. Do I reach out today if I haven’t heard back 🤔??

I know it’s tough but give them another day or two. They may have had some people out on Friday for the long weekend.

Thanks. That was my thought as well. I am also waiting to hear from another company that I had a final interview with on Friday. Seemed to go very well. 🤞🏻on both

TY!!!

I always give a week for a response back

Give it at least five days. Reaching out too soon might make you look desperate and the recruiter might think that you need the job too much and would accept the offer even if they don't give you what you're asking for.

It was a long holiday weekend. Try to be patient. They made an offer because they want you!

like

I get it. I’ve been there. Good luck!

Took about 6 business days to work out my comp package. Only asked for 8% above budget. 4-6 business days should be plenty. I'd reach back out on Friday afternoon if nothing has been sent to you.

Thanks. I asked for about the same. Said they had to go back to finance and the hiring manager.

I agree with the comments above. I usually wait a week and then follow up.

Failure is like digging; you must keep digging to find the treasure.

Our perspective has tremendous power. Use it to dig. Here's how:

- Accept the present situation first before deciding what to do. You can’t change the failure, but you can find your next steps from it.
- You can’t change others, but you have absolute power over yourself. That’s more than enough.
- Be intentional about the next attempt.
- See what others did and how you can apply it to your endeavor.

A recruiter called and said I am a final candidate for a role I’ve been interviewing for. They told me they are thinking mid to low $60ks but when I originally spoke to them, they gave me a range of $58-$68k. Then they asked me what my salary expectations were and I was transparent and told them for the role and my experience $68-$80k was the range considering the role is essentially 3 jobs in 1. I told them I’m happy to consider the full offer. Should I be concerned they won’t offer me the job?

Hello everyone!
I’m currently working as an Optimization Associate, which in my company is a step above a project manager. Our team didn’t have a scope for the majority of my tenure, so I was practically doing E2E PM & process improvement for multiple teams. I’ve asked for an off-cycle salary increase (35%) because I’ve been performing at a higher level than my job entails far before my promotion to the role and I’m currently excelling. How likely would the company accept it?

I'm in the final round of interviews for two internal positions - both vertical. One has FTE's (my first such experience) and the other a much broader scope vs my current role

I had interviewed externally for a role on par w the internal roles, at a smaller and less established company. They confirmed +20% was in their range

How do I push back on my company if they offer less than that, if I do want one of those roles? Without a pay scale, what is the best way to approach?

I’ve been a general manager for a convenience store for almost 2 years now. I have raised profit after variable expenses by 13% compared to last year, and exceeding budgets in almost every category except for turnover. I got an 11% raise last year, but still only make $55k. My store profits about 17k a month on inside sales, and 160k a month in fuel. I think I deserve more, but I don’t know how to ask for it, and don’t know how to begin a job search aside from indeed. Any advice?

Over 20 plus years with this company my base pay has gone up every couple of years. The biggest growth in my salary has come as a "Bonus pd 1x/yr" which now is over 50% of my cash compensation. Base plus bonus plus benefits is on the Lower half of my industry Salary Value from talking to industry colleagues.

I may have an opportunity for a new position with another company starting around the first of the new year. My concern is that the "bonus" is not paid until March. What to do?
