Does anyone from MBB Canada know what the post MBA comp is? Does Bain really pay lower than the other two?
What separates MBB from the rest? Work output, pace, branding? How often do people from non mbb firms successfully move to them? What skills make candidates stand out?
I am currently a SA at EY-Parthenon on the West Coast and looking to case for MBB. Comment if interested.
How important is expertise with data visualization tools (ex: Tableau) in the Strategy consulting space today (MBB, Strategy&, Oliver, DeloitteS&O)?
MBB recruiter said I'd hear about my application (whether or not I'd get an interview) by today. haven't heard a word - what should I do? I'm thinking of sending a gentle reminder tomorrow morning, but definitely don't want to look pushy
Have any 🐠 here left S& for MBB at the post-MBA level? I’d like to talk through the differences and adjustments in ways of working you had to make after the jump
From talking to students at multiple M7 schools, it seems like all of the BB/MBB/FAANG companies recruit at most if not all of the schools . So if you're planning on recruiting for one of these, is there really a major difference in career opportunities between each school? Asking because it seems like some schools are specifically known for finance vs consulting vs tech, but if the companies are all recruiting at all these schools, the differences don't seem as pronounced to me.
I'm a senior at a non-target ivy just got an advisory return offer at big 4. How do I initiate conversation with MBB for full time if they don't come to campus/I don't have personal connection
3 years in industry,3 years in consulting(strategy and operations). Been thinking about entering PE, but it seems impossible to break into given background (not mbb). Thoughts?
Did anyone lateral across MBB?
Quick Q for y’all. Im having trouble finding cases that match the level of difficulty that I experienced in my BCG interview. Anyone know of a good repository for MBB level cases ?
Do MBB have facial hair policies?
MBB 🐠, if you could do it all over again, would you? Thinking about getting MBA and would love some honest feedback. TIA!
Looking to exit to MBB/tier 2 consulting. Do they/you take analysts 1-1.5 years out of undergrad? Will I have to start over or will I be considered an “experienced” BA/Associate?
Humble question: How do you know you're good enough? I'm a high performer at a local boutique firm in South Africa, looking to apply internationally at MBB/Big 4/Tier 2 (recruitment esp. international is a separate discussion). Since I've only ever been with one firm, I don't have a yardstick to compare myself to. I'm concerned about whether I match up with my peers at other firms. Any advice, experience or 2c on the above is appreciated.
Do any of the MBBs consult for FAANG or top tech companies? Or do all those companies exclusively use in house strategy teams? If any MBB does, a referral would be much appreciated
I’m on the verge of closing out a final interview where my salary will go from $70k base/no bonus to $105k base+10% bonus. My title will go from senior analyst to manager. However, I’m going from Accenture to a startup that got acquired (has $2 bn parent company so bankruptcy isn’t going to happen) and I’ll be going from working with a young crowd to older people. I wouldn’t hit the comp the startup is offering for at least 3-4 yrs if I stayed at Accenture. Any advice/thoughts?
Had an important Steerco meeting with the client and I presented some slides very smoothly and got great feedback. Right after, went to go introduce myself to a cute girl who works for the client and
PwC fish (or others with same setup) - Is there anything stopping me from only contributing to 401k with post-tax dollars and then mega backdooring all of it to Roth? If not, are there any cons to doing so?
What is your favorite way to effortlessly stay up to date on platform and industry changes? Fav newsletters to get in your inbox, Facebook group, slack group, etc?
Any insight into Withers Bergman?
How do you make consulting manageable in terms of WLB? I enjoy what I do at work but I also have interests outside of work. Would an exit be me only option?
Apparently using headphones is soooo last year. 3 random people unrelated people decided to take turns watching videos on their phones with full sound during the flight.
McKinsey & Company: Implementation Associate (4 YOE). What would you expect for salary and bonus potential?
I'm through the HR screening and have a senior associate round 1 interview with S& FS coming up and am looking for some pointers. Been at my current job for 3 years so am rusty with the interview process. Any case or behavioral tips? Thanks in advance.
Just got an offer with BDO in the Data & Analytics practice. 30% raise, lateral move (Manager 2 to Manager 2) and 20k signing bonus. Is it worth the move to go form PwC to a firm of that size?
I posed the question to my FB friends: “My dear parent friends with school-aged children, will you please share with me your thoughts on your child returning to school this fall? With all of the debate and varying opinions, as a teacher, I would love to know what my friends think. Please be honest with me; I would love to know how you feel. I will not judge or comment, and I ask the same of those who respond. Please feel free to PM me as well.” It was eye-opening, tear-jerking. Please consider!
Got my first ever 90 day review this week. What should I expect, and what are some good things to bring up? Overall I'm pretty confident in my performance and happy with my agency and the culture.
Just got dinged, without an interview. Can I email admissions to ask for feedback? Do people normally do that?
Should I boomerang 🪃 back to Deloitte for high comp and to get into tech strategy? Currently have an opportunity at another firm. Would there also be a separate process if I go back?
Amazon: hiring 33k people. Also amazon: we won’t hire a single person because our interviews are so hard :(
How do you ladies invest (outside of 401k/employee stock purchase plan - already maxing those out!)/how have your investments done? Just finished my first year of work and have a stupid amount just sitting in my savings account that I know I need to invest ASAP! Not sure where to start! Thank you!
