So how many more of these articles and posts do we need until more ppl to take Covid-19 seriously, and actively social distance and wear masks? 🤦🏼‍♀️

Until there's actual repercussions, it won't stop. Just start imposing fines.

D2 - if we are going to fine people for not wearing masks we should also fine obese people.

like

EY2 - not necessary, we don’t hire people who ignore data that does not fit their biases. Body shaming might be a social no-no, but it turns out Mother Nature doesn’t care and kills fatties early and often.

Was pretty careful. Caught it. Got over it in 2 days.

How many more of these narratives do we need until people start thinking for themselves?

Ey1, haha it’s not whether you did wear mask social distancing etc, it’s how you do it that keeps you safe. Lol, I have doctor friends, and they told me that usually ppl who end up catching it just means... something , somewhere, went wrong, regarding carrying out safety measures. Also, It’s not about young folks catching it surviving and being okay, and hence saying its overblown. it’s about not furthering the spread. You may not have been around 40+years folks, doesn’t mean those friends you surround yourselves with didnt. Let alone how many other folks you or your friends have walked by? When you place your mask down in outdoor sitting for food, did you know if there is wind or air conditioner besides your or besides someone who has COVID, those aerosols from just the person talking can get passed to whoever is in the way of the wind? Lol. Not talking about you specifically, but stating these Covid-19 facts at a high level. because the government did a horrible job initially in containing and stopping the spread, this is why it is very annoying when it’s up to us, that annoyance and seeing it as “troublesome” produces the “overblown” mentality....and then it’s becomes a forever ending cycle, of almost getting to containment but then have another setback due to many younger folks,.... kind of sucks for the rest that are trying their best. That’s the infuriating part for a lot of folks ☺️

But you do you, just thought to put some info out there in case you were interested 👌🏼. Glad you survived it though, can’t say that others are lucky.

Trick Question : Anti-maskers don’t read 🙄🙄

True. Haha but glad to feel support knowing there’s ppl who still agree. 😂

This story won't change anything for the vast majority of people because it's anecdotal and based on his experience not the whole of people <40

You can both take it seriously and also believe it’s not a significant risk to you seriously. That doesn’t mean don’t wear a mask, but let’s stop acting like everyone has the same risk profile as a elderly person with diabetes and COPD.

like

P1, So you’re saying COVID is overblown? That it’s not serious? Maybe I misread it, but the last sentence is confusing....You know it comes down to immune systems right? So regardless of your age, if your immune system is weaker, you are more at risk. Sure the 20-30 year olds get it and MAY come out of it if their immune system is strong enough, but what the news don’t tell you is, some of them come out with organ failures, lungs operating at60%, heart problems etc... these permanent complications are no fun either.

I think ppl SHOULD assume the same risk, so that they are as a result, careful about their Actions. It’s more of a mentality thing. No one will really wear masks and social distancing for someone else if they themselves don’t recognize the risk they might be in and then their families. I mean that’s why, you have a bunch of younger folks, outside hangin out with friends, and only being “careful” temporarily around older folks, not knowing they might be carriers... that’s how it’s spread lol, bc of ppls lack of due diligence... and when ppl are careless it’s bc they don’t see it as a big issue... bc they don’t think they themselves will be harmed enough by it.
Hey, I might just misread your comment but, this is my opinion based on the ppl I see who aren’t taking it seriously. I mean sure they are wearing masks, but the way they are wearing it is so wrong that they might as well not wear it. But it’s bc they told me, even if they catch it, they’re not gonna die from it.... but that’s not the point is it? 😂😂

⚠️Toxicity Alert ⚠️

My previous manager would track us by hours daily, made a fuss everytime anything stretched and guilt us for that and the unplanned leave too unless it was COVID. Hinted him a lot of time, this is problematic but apparently he considered it "standard practice for agile".

Now 8/10 teammates have switched within < 1 year of project start (6-7 months with him) which tbh had good work in our opinion and even team was fun to work with even though none of us ever met in person.
