Why are you focused on how you can hang on, rather than focusing on what you really want to be doing in life? Current state => Future state => Road map? Remember this process? It's called the the CFR or the: "unfuck yourself and live the life you're dreaming of" framework.
Your welcome! 🍻
2 pays a month is better than one pay a month - the earlier you get your money the better. But enjoy your happiness at a "proper firm" M1
Dude, if you are asking yourself 24 or 26 times a year whether or not you should stay or go, then you should probably just go.
Whales are not fish. Just wanted to let you know I was triggered by that.
But timing is everything - 2 weeks just seems more doable than a vision of an endless treadmill.
Yeah most firms I have worked for pay twice a month...
Wait, who doesn't get paid twice a month?
M1 - why is that important? Pretty sure that at 400k people ACN is a "proper firm" - so are EY and OW.
Worked in industry at a giant multi national company recognized globally for 7 years getting paid twice a month. Sad to find out from M1 it's not "proper", time to go re-evaluate my life
Time value of money, sooner you get your money, sooner it can do work for you.
Lol. Maybe.
24 - 26 pay periods?? Wtf?!?
What are you talking about @M1
M1 probably works for an independent startup that can only afford to pay him twice a year *Proper*
1x per month
A1-all my retired friends are busier than ever just doing things they love. From what I see it takes about a year to get into the rhythm and explore interests but no one is sitting on the couch😎
Semi-monthly = 24 pay periods annually and Bi-weekly = 26 pay periods annually
Yeah great. At Accenture and EY you get paid twice a month?
I'm with you OP. I recently achieved financial independence and finding it harder and harder to leave my family each Monday.
Normal people don't. None of the proper firms pay twice a month
