Maybe that’s another way of rejecting you in a way that’s more dignified. I honestly don’t know, that just seems like a consulting way of getting something done.

Said different, you have 9 YOE and 2 of them in M&A at the start of your career. This outcome is not that shocking to be honest

De-leveling still should not be expected, especially if they were indicating 1-2 levels higher. I have had very little direct job experience in each of my job switches, and I’ve always gotten at least lateral or increased titles. Business isn’t rocket science

uplifting

Here is a thought, will they give you a Mgrs salary at a consultant level? Most likely you will be hired at the top of the band and if you really are a manager your promotion will happen quickly, right?

funny

It’s a bit low for their strategy practice, where pay is same regardless of location. With recruiter and SMs, discussion was about 180-200.

You are not an SM. SM involves sales and significant coaching, and you bring zero sales relationships. M is where you are at.

like

Agreed, told them I wanted M, just surprised interviewer spent time convincing me to take M vs SM only to get offer at C after MD interview.

I understand title is important but if they’re going to pay you as a manager/senior manager..what’s the difference. Tell them that your goal is to be promoted to manager next year. If they offer you a senior consultant salary tell them to pound sand

Yeah. They said max was 150k, so don’t think so.

They should at least offer SC if you were SC at D.

Don’t have that level at Accenture in this group at least.

In-House legal/talent recruiters completely ghosting during the interview process-- What gives? It's happened a disturbing number of times during my job hunt. They ghost after requesting an initial interview. They canceled an interview 10 minutes beforehand and then ghosted. They ghosted after saying I'd interview with the hiring manager. I get that the position was either filled or there were changed circumstances, but maybe some courtesy/professionalism toward the applicants? Be better.
