So I built model that uses some VBA functions, but my boss insists on using a Mac and some of the functionality breaks when he tries to use the file. Does literally anyone else in finance use a Mac?

What breaks? Have faced this a few times. There are often ways to code so it works on both. Like if it’s a path thing and / vs \ causes issues

Not sure what breaks- the macro is a refresh button and when he tries to use it gets the error

“[Expression.Error] The module named ‘ExcelInterop’ has been disabled in this context.”

I honestly wish he’d just use windows because excel on Macs just don’t work as well... but he’s the boss so oh well

Stack overflow

Does he have a vdi?

No no one else uses a mac. If it doesn’t work that should be his problem not yours

Not true, we use Mac pretty widely including our FS consulting group. Also have have seen Mac adoption spreading at FS clients

Have you tried Alteryx instead of vba? I haven’t written a line since getting Alteryx.

Ok, using excel is not a primary function for my role (this will be very obvious shortly...) So please be kind! On my sheet, in the first and third columns, I have lists of reference numbers. In the second column I have a client name. I already identified the duplicates in the first and third columns using conditional formatting. What I need to find now is column 2 value, whenever value in column 3 is identified as duplicate. Problem is, I have over 120k rows of data so I can't filter! Help!

Hi team i have a bit of doubt.
I have an excel sheet where column A is the order numbers. I want to add comments in column G.
There are many repetitions in order numbers but they are all sorted in ascending so all the repetitions are below one another.

If i have a comment, how can i automatically paste that same comment in all the repetitions of that order numbers if i write it in the 1st instance.

Thanks in advance
