Cut yourself some slack! You’ve been sick while growing a human. Congratulations by the way!

You are too hard on yourself. EVERYONE makes mistakes. It’s part of being human. It’s takes a lot to admit when one made a mistake. You should be so proud of yourself for that. It’s an easier road to blame it on someone else. I don’t know you or your boss but I can Guarantee he/she has made many many mistakes along the way. Chin up love you got this

You’re too hard on yourself. You’re pregnant. But you could have upped your game and come up with a credible story about how it was someone else’s fault. I’ll stress the credible!

It happens, just let it go. I have had to have a mop handy to tidy up others slips and that is part of being a supervisor. Maybe the group needs someone to do calendaring?

The pregnancy hormones gave me a lot of brain fog … but also normal to make mistakes no matter what year you are in.

Law firm life makes us neurotic.

Update on this post- thanks everyone for making me feel better. We ended up closing the deal and I even got a bonus based on my work on it! Never had this experience before so happy it turned out this way!

I have 2 offers for in house - one is more base, bonus and equity (significantly more) but in a riskier industry that isn’t recession proof - think luxury. The other is a way more recession proof industry. Is there any way I can negotiate the second using the numbers from the first? Or will they tell me to go fly a kite? Rec’d an offer from a F500 company Monday. Recruiter blowing up my phone Tuesday to make a decision and made me feel terrible that I was having discussions with my current company to talk about equity I would be leaving on the table (private co without straightforward equity). Using this info to possibly counter the equity portion of the offer, which was first presented to me just yesterday. Is this abnormal behavior on my part? Recruiter made it sound like I was 1 in a million doing this!
