So I gave my counter offer to a potential employer. I expressed my interest in the new position and touched on why I countered their offer. I also explained my family’s interest in the new location and the steps we have already taken to prepare for the move. What is the usual timeline for a response to a counteroffer?

It's different at each company. Expect a few days. Also depends on your offer, if it's outside budget they may need to get approvals and that will be more time.

Personally think a week is perfect, but I wouldn't be surprised by two especially right now. Approvals take time, especially counter offers. Don't give up hope yet.

Hello everyone, could anyone provide me with a referral for Microsoft? I’d greatly appreciate it!

I will be graduating in May 2023 and I am starting to apply for its full-time Business Program Management role. Microsoft

I'm currently the Staffing Specialist at my company. I've only been in the field and in my position for 9 months and plan to take the SHRM-CP test in the fall. While I feel confident in what I do, I don't feel so confident in my overall knowledge of HR.

My VP has budgeted for me to receive study materials about a month before the test, but I personally need a little more time to study as I get test performance anxiety. Do any of you have any inexpensive suggestions for study materials?

Hi!
I have been trying to switch to a technical role at G for some months now with very little luck despite submitting CLs for my current team + 20% exp. I’m currently in a sales ladder but do mostly development work and want to switch to a role that offers me more support and growth tech wise. I’ve also been interviewing externally and I have heard positive feedback for SWE @ Microsoft just need team matching. Would it be smart to switch or wait to find a SWE/UXE or other tech role at G?

Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations

I recently interviewed for VMLY & R for a senior account executive…I asked for $85k - $95k they said max they can do is $85k and that’s pushing but u looked on Glassdoor and the average is like $115k should I keep pushing for more?

How do I negotiate back to hourly with a fair rate when I already feel like they are refusing to pay for a promotion given in June?

In May the owner moved me to salary (at bare non exempt minimum rate). In June they promoted me to Level II Team lead and instituted On Call rotation which indicated we had expectations of 930a-930pm to take calls with no additional increase.

Now they want us to take calls any time of the night.

I want to decline these add'l responsibilities that keep changing.
