So I give up. I'll ask. If you guys are traveling every week, to same hotel..WHY THE FUCK DONT YOU CHECK YOUR BAG AT THE HOTEL? Skip all the drama. Clean replacements every wk, easy peasy.

Power move is to find a dry cleaner in that city and swap weekly so you always have pressed stuff

You can keep bags at hotels. For me I need to bring home dirty clothes and bring in clean ones

I don't have drama. I board first.

Explain..

Need to start doing this. Gots to be #streamlined for the airport.

like

Wtf? No drama. I'm a female and I literally have one small bag of toiletries and a large bag of laundry. Pre-TSA doesn't require you to take toiletries out (I also get away with this through the normal lines). Might as well take it all home and skip wasting time waiting for the front desk to find my stuff every time I check in.

I leave workout shoes and extra (brown if wore black home, vice versa) dress shoes, along with a few other things in a duffel bag if on a longer engagement. All dirties come home though

like

Agreed. Not easy but clutch when properly executed

like

A lot you can't do that with if you have an unreliable connection.

like

Agreed. Been doing this for years. Doorman at my hotel has my checked bag waiting for me in my room when I check-in. No fuss. Gotta love Fairmont.

Serious question - is there a reverse FIRE strategy? I like the idea of saving and retiring early, but the one hiccup I see (and sorry if this is grim) is if you die earlier than expected. I’d be worried that I would minimize lifestyle and fun for retirement at 50 but I’d die at 49. How about a way to work 9 months out of the year and retire/travel/relax for 3 months? This way you guaranteed your dreams/etc. are fulfilled
