Hey Fishes, Can anyone let me know about the Cognizant's Google project in Analytics domain. Like what the project is like and what i can expect in terms of contributing & learning and growing. What i want to know is that if it will be a normal some kind of support project only or a real work related project where i can learn & contribute and my career prospect will be good if i join.

Fwiw Glassdoor for law firms seems to be mostly professional staff rather than attorneys. But still big red flag if staff are miserable.
Can you get in contact with any former employees? Based on my experience, toxic can reach levels you cannot even imagine until you are in it
1-2 years doesn’t scream a high level of toxicity for me. I’ve been at firms that have been so awful the turnover rate is more like 3-6 months…
To get out of insurance defense, it’ll be worth it. There’s simply no easy way out once you’re stuck (my current situation). Get a little non-ID work on your resume and you will open more doors for yourself. Also, take online reviews with a grain of salt—very few people go on those websites if things are going well or to heap praise on their company.
Search linked in and contact a former employee. Dig dig!
Agreed! Reach out to former employees on LinkedIn and see if they’d be willing to hop on the phone with you. If someone reached out to me about my last firm, I’d make time for a 5 min phone call.

If they practice what you want to do, and you go in knowing what to expect, and you have a plan to get out in two (or whatever you think is reasonable) years, yeah, I'd probably do it.
Look on LinkedIn to find out what the tenure looks like for their current and former attorneys. This will tell you a lot without having to speak with anyone.
In addition to reaching out to a former associate on LinkedIn (great suggestions from the comments above) you could also ask to speak with one of their current associates. I get this request from time to time and have never received pushback from a firm. If they did push back it would be a red flag.
Jumping from one firm to another with relatively short tenure in L&E isn’t that big of a deal, especially if you’re going plaintiff’s side. Take the job, stick around long enough to learn the practice area (1 year, maybe 2 if you can stand it) and then lateral to another L&E firm with a better work environment.

Location?
Nope - I’ve avoided them like the plague.
Also, would it be worth taking the abuse for a year if it is that bad in exchange for the experience and the jump up in pay?
Exactly my dilemma. Abusive partner now —> abusive partner there + more $$ and experience.
