So I had a short stint at a law firm which is not my resume because it is not worth relaying the future employers this leaves about a 3-month gap in my resume total. This year I started doing freelance work and have done a substantial amount of assignments for other law firms I was thinking of extending the start date of the freelance work to the beginning of my work Gap in order to provide some coverage for it, is this unethical? Does this scream I'm covering up a gap? Let me know your thoughts

Not being truthful, omission, or outright lying about your work history can certainly be grounds for termination. (and if the employer is really pissed when they find out there is always a chance that they report that ethical issue to your bar) Additionally, if you did any client work during the 3 months there could end up being a client conflict you don’t disclose.

The legal market is a small world, I would keep the 3 month stint in your resume but explain it proactively if you think it was a problem. I appreciated the opportunity but realized quickly it wasn’t a fit for X reason which drove me to client freelance work.

I recently moved into a new place that has windows with metal frames. I noticed that now in the winter months since it's cold outside the window frames have a lot of condensation and everything is soaked. Has anyone experienced this before? Is this normal or should I be telling like the building management about it? I'm scared that it might ruin the wood and paint around the area.

I want to brag on my kid, but I don’t want to embarrass him, so I’m doing it here. My college sophomore found out today that he ended up with a B in his accounting class - which is remarkable, given that he received a 50 on his first exam and a 70 on his second. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen him work this hard - and I couldn’t be more proud. The grades that come easily don’t impress me nearly as much as the ones that are hard fought.

Ok so I understand the whole concept of blockchain and crypto. What I’m confused on is how to interpret things and where to do my investing. i.e. I’ve seen multiple posts Discord about investing in KDA, so looked it up, it’s very difficult to invest in if in US. The only app I found was KuCoin. 2nd i.e. is the whole Luna thing, ppl say invest in the next 2.0 or wait for some new symbol. I’m so confused on this part. I have a business degree, lol why does this make me feel so dumb?

A parent of one of my students told admin she thinks it's irresponsible that I won't be grading over Christmas break. I let the students know to get any work they need graded in before the break and I'll get it to it during our workdays in January. Apparently that's not fast enough for her 🙄. Is it wrong that I'm sort of pissed off by this? Should I say something?

I moved from my “homegrown” consulting firm to another, smaller firm- thinking they had better technology capabilities and I would get to do better work. The worklife balance is better as is the tech but for many other reasons its been a complete disaster and I hate it. I want to move into my industries tech field, and I am getting a few bites but it has been less than a year at my new job and i feel so nervous about making another “bad” move and feeling suck.

EY GDS - Is below statement is common across all offer letters. Since I didn't discussed anything on shift hours with either HR or interview panel in EY ?

Additionally, as mentioned in your interview process, the Firm may implement staggered work shifts, from time to time. In such an event, you shall abide by the change in the standard working hours as may be notified by the Firm to accommodate such staggered shifts.

I work at a b4, I got a job offer from amidsize Promotion and going from 120-140. Should I take it? It would be a new start, and they mentioned less hours. The only issue I am thinking about is not having July and December weeks off. Otherwise the benefits are the same.

I am under qualified for a job that I KNOW I can do. They’ve asked for a certain number of years of experience and I don’t have it. However, I do have some experience in the exact requirements for the role. What can I do to position myself to get an interview from my resume alone? Should I add a cover letter? What should I include? I have 2-3 YOE, but they’re asking for 5.

I would appreciate any insight on management-side employment law in Dallas. I am a MLA at a large firm in LA pondering a move for financial/family reasons, but it doesn't seem like there are many open positions in DFW and I'm wondering if this area of the law is just not robust in Texas.

I am currently working as a paralegal in a small/mid sized firm where compensation as far as salary is limited. Recently I have decided to leave and have started doing initial interviews with very large firms. Should I try to be more realistic in the number that I give or shoot for the stars?
