Not being truthful, omission, or outright lying about your work history can certainly be grounds for termination. (and if the employer is really pissed when they find out there is always a chance that they report that ethical issue to your bar) Additionally, if you did any client work during the 3 months there could end up being a client conflict you don’t disclose.
The legal market is a small world, I would keep the 3 month stint in your resume but explain it proactively if you think it was a problem. I appreciated the opportunity but realized quickly it wasn’t a fit for X reason which drove me to client freelance work.
