That’s a huge indicator that the entire enterprise is mismanaged.

Creative is one thing but when PMs, creative management, account management, or marketing dept supports the creatives and lifts up barriers. It’s a sight to behold.

Like everyone else said! Red flag AF! Unorganized and chaotic.

Recruiter also mentioned that hiring manager’s general concern was candidates’ ability to keep up with their fast pace.

like

If they’re making it a concern then it should probably also be a concern for you too. This may mean past freelancers had a hard time “keeping up” but really it also shows deadlines aren’t moved properly, not enough time between rounds and it may also mean the team is understaffed.

LOL gotta love recruiters who are too scared to pickup the phone and simply talk about it like a normal human being.. Make sure you throw out a number that’s a little higher because the amount of stress this team will most likely cause you because THEY are unorganized

like

Riskier project?.. increase your rate Stressful client?.. increase your rate

For more context: I’m an Art Director/Designer.

Is someone talking sht behind your back? Such a specific concern.

Who knows. Hiring manager seemed really cheery, positive and sold the place as full of nice people. I also gave example of my work speed. Recruiter said this was general concern with candidates, not specifically me.

Ummm so like every big agency on the planet? What a question. Where isn’t there a fast pace, where do we not work face paced as art directors.

It shows a complete lack of understanding of a art director/designers career path/training, all we do is grind.

Update: I followed up last week to see if the recruiter had forwarded some additional questions I had asked, and she gave me no answer. Moving right along…

keep is moving baby. there’s millions of clients out there.. don’t stop! 💪

I wanted to post this for those who see and those who need to see: I, along with you, feel dejected by my current position. All this to say, everyones path is different and yours will work out how it should. Everything happens for a reason, assuming you always put your best foot forward. May we succeed.

What are realistic career paths for BDRs that do not want to be an account executive? I have been a BDR for 4 years now and looking to get out of sales but unsuccessful so far . I’ve interviewed for social media roles, BDR manager roles , always falling short on what they are looking for. Beginning to think I’ll just have to accept a career that I hate that brings me no passion and try for AE role. My ideal role would be in product marketing or social. Any advice?
