If it's the third or fourth person that stated this to you I think you should go for it. The universe is calling on you. Onward and upwards!
I pivoted from brand strategy to naturopathic medicine and mental health. I just wanted a new way to help people that aligned with my values. The science (biochem, anatomy, physiology) was laborious but I'm glad I went to med school at 28.
But I will say much like law and other grad programs, med school shapes they way folks think and problem solve.
So the best way to decide if you want to be a doctor or what type of doctor to be is to see if you like their worldview.
I've worked as a risk analyst in insurance for 3 years and then transitioned from finance into the medical field. It took me a year to complete all prereqs, take the MCAT and finish all the fluff extracurricular stuff required to apply and be competitive. I'd take some time to see if you really want to consider the path of going to med school. I'm 26 and may matriculate next year at 27. I'm good with sacrificing marriage and kids because it's not my utmost priority until my mid 30s but even then, it may not be at all.
If you know what the path entails and are ok with the risks you need to take then go for it.
