So I have a dilemma - Quite a few colleagues of mine have been leaving mid-degree or just after finishing their MBAs, and haven’t had HR come after them for reimbursement because the policy only states the company MAY come after you, not that they will. My question to anyone who has been in a similar situation is - if i try to leave my company, and they come after me for the tuition reimbursement, is there a way for me to fight it by using examples of past colleagues?

If they come for you, can you prove HR hasn’t gone after them? If you use them as examples, they still could technically go after them like “oh, thanks for reminding us!”

So actually I do have proof haha. I had my coworkers tell me and I screenshotted their responses on LinkedIn so it would never go away.
