I know there’s a lot of career coaches on this bowl. Does anyone specialize or focus on salary negotiation? Any resources you’d recommend I look at for negotiating salary with 3-5 YOE? I think I’m going to have to give the first offer. Potentially willing to book a paid session, if that ends up seeming useful

Asking for a friend.
He works for Pwc and had year end discussion in which he is told that they are planning to put him under Performance improvement program post 4th July. His i40 was approved last month, I have 2 questions.
1) If PWC terminates him, will they apply to USCIS for revoking his i40? Does the big 4s generally withdraw?
2) given his scenario, should he just move on to new employer or will he risk or loosing his i40 in this case?

Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations

I'm working in Brisbane as a Marketing Coordinator and only make 60k per annum. Not sure if I should switch careers to Testing. But there are no entry level jobs for tester, everyone is asking for an experience. But the marketing pays really low.

Does anyone know of any roles with good pay in Marketing or entry level test analyst roles in Brisbane?

I am coming up on a promotion. In preparation, I've done some market-level research for the future position and found the average salary is approximately $30k more than my current salary. I've been with the company for 10 years in various positions, but 2.5 in my current. My previous supervisor would never entertain any negotiations above the offer letter; stating "the offer is final". I've spoken with other colleagues and its not true.

Any advice for negotiations, and how much is too much?

How often should I talk to my boss about hiring me full-time? I'm a temp-to-hire currently, and I have been told that sometime this month I should be hired, but have been told the same thing for the past two months. Should I bring it up again? Or just ride it out?

Director of Operations for $1B annual revenue? Too few jobs have salaries posted, need help before I talk with the hiring manager next week!

I’m currently interviewing for a hybrid Jr UX Designer role for a fragrance company. The compensation is between 70-80k. I searched the market rate in NYC and the salaries are between 103-120k. I assume this is based on the company, industry, and experience. I have a graphic design background with 10 years experience and have a springboard certification for UX. I don’t want to get low balled as I have been in the past. Is it unreasonable to ask for what’s market value when it’s a team of 5?

Had any one worked as an inventory donation specialist , if so@how much is a good salary

Hello everyone, so I just recently starting my new job as a technical support engineer making 56k. Is that a fair value in the market? It’s my first job into the tech field and I accepted quickly because it was a huge bump to what I was making. However I just feel like maybe it was really “easy”. So just wanted to know if that’s about right?

Hey everyone. What is P1 pay rate at George Washington University?

Hi all, I'm going to be transparent about my ENTIRE situation. I was released from FLDOC in 2016. I was offered a position at a local non profit. I've been there almost 6 years and am now a board member and an Executive Director. I'm being paid an hourly based salary.. Less than 40k per year. I run the entire organization alone which consists of 6 properties with over 25 tenants at capacity I also, find the houses to purchase, hire contractors, clean, collect rent, find and interview tenants!

I am a senior dental ceramist and I am getting downward wage pressure from potential dental labs. I tell them my number and it is keeping with the top wage offered in their advertising but the labs seem to collude with each other with the salaries offered. The more I interview the more undesirable the jobs become- “we are a 6 on quality” ugh who wants to work for a 6?!? “We misclassify workers as independent contractors”. “We insist you punch out for lunch or be docked 45 minutes punitively”.

My colleague is going on maternity leave for 4 months and I was asked to cover some of her projects which are step up in responsibility than what I’m currently operating at. Some peers have suggested I ask for a raise to accommodate this but I’m not sure I agree as I’m only covering her while she’s out? What are others thoughts about this?

I just received a job offer at a company I'm very interested in working for (yay!). Their salary offer, however, is at the bottom end of the range specified in the job ad. In my initial interview, I said that my salary expectations align with the range specified by the ad. So, my question is do I ask for more? Or do I just accept the offer? The company benefits are decent and I would get stock options, and it's fully remote - if that influences your answer.

What do y'all think?

I recently got a job offer while the salary is good they are only offering 40hours of PTO until the first year is up then they offer 80hours, is this normal? If not how should I go about asking for more? I thought it was fairly average for someone to get 10 days especially since Ive been in the industry for 7 years.

How long does it take Google to get back to you after your first technical phone interview ?

Any idea about the range on annual salary for a 1, 5 year as Digital Product Manager and 10 years working with digital marketing management, 36 y/o?

The job listing has a salary range of 102-182k, when I spoke to recruiter she said it’s 145-155k. I didn’t mention I saw a different range on the listing. Is she trying to low ball me ? Does the range on the listing mean much ?

About a year ago I started working for a fitness company as a Marketing manager living in NYC (70k) needing a bit of advice on if I’m getting under paid or not. My 1 year review is coming up and looking to ask for a raise. We have 6 gyms across NY/NYC/Philly

I have 5 social media coord reporting to me and also look over the work for email and design team

I recently learned that a contracted associate (who I supervised, but I didn’t have visibility on their salary) earned 2x my salary over a 6 month contract, and at 30hrs/ week. First, is this normal? Second, how do I use this information to renegotiate my salary? (My employer of 5 years doesn’t know I learned about the contract details. )

Originally interviewed for Community Relations Coordinator for set asking salary of $65k. Now owner wants to change title to Branch Manager, increased responsibilities, but primarily still CRC role. Same salary and now will decrease to $50k after one year with an increasing commission rate. The idea behind this is motivation to earn more than set salary. At this point, I need the income and am not planning on staying longer than the year, if that. Is it worth negotiating? Any advice welcome.
