IUI is not a big deal. There's not really much to do. You take clomid for a few days and then go in for monitoring a couple of mornings. Then you get the trigger. And then the IUI the following day. IUI is often recommended for PCOS because clomid induces ovulation. Though if you have a blocked tube, you're only going to be able to try during months you ovulate on the side of the open tube. That seems like kind of a waste of time. Depending on your age and the situation with your insurance coverage, it may make sense to just go to IVF.

Thanks, the reason they recommended IVF was because my husbands analysis came back low the first time and then the second time was great. I didn’t want to jump to IVF because we haven’t been trying for that long and I am not mentally prepared for IVF yet. I know IUI is the start of this so I wanted to give it a shot. Thanks for your feedback!
