So I have the choice between two clinics. One has an amazing success rate but would use all of my insurance funds for one ivf cycle . Number 2 option would allow me about two ivf cycles but I have to stay in a hotel and rent a car. Also the success rate is not as high as option one. My RE told me that sometimes the outcomes are a game of chance. I just had one ivf cycle and the outcome was zero normal embryos.

The success rate (%) margins from one clinic to another is never wide enough to justify losing an additional cycle that is paid in full. Definitely go with option #2.

Glad I could help! After my failed cycle at a top IVF clinic in my city, I now wish I had gone to a less expensive clinic so I can have a second chance at success.

100% agree with KC1. Our provider also explained the nuances of SART ratings across clinics and the types of strategies that can be employed to falsely inflate numbers. Clinic “quality” notwithstanding, outcomes are highly individualized and ultimately random. IVF is absolutely/unfortunately a game of chance; you want more turns at the table.

I would go for option 2.

How would you evaluate clinic lab quality then? Is there a significant difference between different lab protocols and embryologist experience?

I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 12. My family did not opt to put me on medication. I illegally discovered Adderall in college. Worked incredible. Got diagnosed after college & after having been fired from my first job. Passed the CPA exams on Adderall. Went off of it again. I do everything well at my job except for attention to detail within my excel files & emails. Will taking ADHD medication really fix this? Does anyone else have this issue and was it resolved by taking medication?

I had a surgery for ectopic pregnancy about two weeks ago and I’m still insanely tired. To add before the surgery, I was given one dose of methotrexate and my hemoglobin tanked from 13.8 to 10.8 between the first blood test ( May 1st week) and the last ( June 1st week). I think my tiredness is cause by a mix of low hemoglobin, methotrexate, and surgery. Any advice on how to get my energy back would be appreciated.
