During screen I had asked the recruiter what was their interview process is. He said 1. Screen 2. Technical Interview. I have been with the same company for 20+ years. More or less the same role though I’ve had a few changes of location and many bosses over that time. I guess my question is, what can I do from here? I’m a loyal and dedicated employee but definitely underutilized. Also, I need to earn more. 24 & working in middle office at a PE firm in NYC. I like and want to stay in my role, so looking at NYU’s part time program & Columbia’s EMBA program maybe in a year or two. Also considering programs like UChicago’s Scholars program (sub 3 years YOE) but worried about working 60 hours a week and commuting every weekend for school.

Preference is for in person classes but really looking to learn in a classroom setting (non-finance background).

Having tough time deciding between IB & Consulting. My thought process: I have a "better" background for IB (TAS/valuation) and with tech layoffs, this might push more potential would-be tech applications to pursue consulting (there by increased competition)? Additionally, you can do IB intern and full time consulting but not vice versa. I prefer consulting, but IB seems like the "safer" option? And if consulting does get hit hard, I would hopefully have a full time IB offer via internship.

I’ve been studying to retake the GREs but my practice test scores aren’t improving and I have limited study time because I’m on a burner case. Do I have a shot of my score doesn’t improve? Do I have one if it does?
