So I live in a state that offers paid family medical leave and my company makes me manage applications with the state. I am supposed to get part of my paycheck from the state and part of it from short term disability (managed by Sedgwick who are THE WORST.) I received no guidance from HR on the type of leave I needed to apply for with the state so followed the instructions I was given by the state. Apparently I was supposed to file for a different type of leave and now no one is paying me…
