So I mailed in my tax return in April and know it’ll be months before it gets processed. But what happens if it gets lost?? Do I get penalized? I don’t have proof of postage...

It won’t get lost. Stop worrying.

Mail another copy via certified mail or efile it. Not sure why you’d use regular postage for that.

I know I messed up :( the irs website said not to file again though

Did you owe taxes or were you expecting a refund? If you owe, you'll probably have to pay interest on whatever was due starting July 16th since the deadline was the 15th. You can probably Google the state/fed penalty amount for missing the deadline.

I was expecting a refund so luckily no interest payments!

Dear partners/principals...
1) which big-4 do you believe has a better retirement model? the unfunded retirement benefits package that pays out after retirement?
2) is it worth switching from one big-4 to another big-4 and having to re-build everything so to speak, if both roles are relatively same but comp is 20% higher? and also possibly joining a bigger practice area...

What’s everyone’s thoughts on applying to several different positions within the same company? I’m looking at about 4 each with different focuses but mainly revolving around data analytics or entry level project analyst/coordinator. A friend of mine said it’s not a good look as it shows the company that you’re desperate. I really disagree, I feel it’s in your best interest to apply as many as you feel qualified for. Any thoughts?

I thought reference is a call asking me things and find out if I would work with this person again - if so, the answer is yes.

AITK (Am I The Karen):

New neighbors moved in the past weekend so there was plenty of loud noise & banging, but I didn’t care about the noise. Today, it was louder than the weekend & one of their friends kid was running around screaming as I was trying to work, but I let it go. It’s 9pm & the kid is still sprinting all over & the banging is non-stop. I have young kids & make a point for them to not disturb my neighbors when they’re here. Am I being unreasonable to want quiet at 9pm on a Monday?

Question for my fellow introverts. Post coronavirus, would you attend a meetup for introverts? Id like to start a group on the site 'meetup' for introverts where <10 people would meet up for a beer or glass of wine and get to know each other & have meaningful conversations. I think theres a misconception that introverts dont enjoy socializing/meeting new people. We do! We just need a safe space with fewer people and a little less noise. Would love to hear your thoughts/insights 🙃
