I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

I haven’t heard anything since the Watson hype.

IBM who?
I2 what’s so bad culture? Bad leadership?
EY just outsourced all our internal systems and tech work to IBM... So they have maintaining crap systems going for them.

No we’re actually on ms-dos
IBM’s story is rough. They could have cleaned up on cloud because they sold clients the hardware and ran their data centers but the shift from their existing economic model to a pay by the drink cloud model wasn’t appealing and on top of that they didn’t think cloud would be that big. Then they got into AI early, and didn’t have any talent left to implement it when the market matured because they paid their GBS people so badly that anyone good left.
IBM would look down its nose at Accenture and mock the market cap compared to their market cap. A decade later and ibms market cap is stagnant and now smaller than Accenture.
Thoughts on IBM new ceo?
They laid off everybody in Watson a long time ago.
Wait what???
This post needs a trigger warning because I can’t read “IBM” without that woman’s voice from the podcast ads in my brain going “from city traffic to ocean plastic, lets put smart to work. IBM. Smart loves problems”
It haunts me at night. I can recite it better than the pledge of allegiance. Help
My interview for GBS in undergrad was sent with a 48 hour notice to travel 3 hours to Columbus with a 1 day notice on a Tuesday. It was the most WTF thing I've ever seen in my life.
Lol this couldn’t be more accurate. I had to fly into DC (granted I was put in the ritz in Tyson’s) for a Saturday superday. No first round or anything. But looks like I am here and you’re at mck. Wonder who made the right choice here :/
I’m not staying in ritz anymore when traveling hahaha
I saw my uncle’s life and how badly he was mistreated at work, the cutthroat culture, and my own terrible recruiting experience with them and decided to never work for them.
I once visited the IBM NYC office in grad school for the Watson interface tour with several of their engineers. I have to say I left dissatisfied. To extrapolate would only invite troll criticism. I can say in respects to our diamond client IBM isn’t here right now; we are.
Never heard of IBM

IBM consulting is only barely better than the Indian firms - ACN was a way better choice.
I’m one of the very few people that actually like IBM and the people. However, I’m in iX and cultures are different across practices. I was also at Accenture a few years ago and enjoyed IBM much more than I did Accenture. That said, I’ll be leaving soon.
