I would just focus on the thank you for the opportunities, I appreciate my time here portion of the letter. You can share that you've found a position/opportunity that's right for you, but I think giving them more information than that is up to your discretion. If you're close to your hospital head and feel comfortable go for it, otherwise it's your business.

like

You don't have to share any specifics if you don't feel comfortable doing so. A simple "I've decided to pursue another opportunity elsewhere" followed by platitudes should suffice. Congrats and good luck!

like

Yep this. And even if someone verbally asks you once they find out you’re leaving where are you going to, you don’t have to tell them. Be prepared to come up with a generic response as you will most likely get the same question from various folks.

like

Short & Sweet
Notification of resignation, effective date, excited to start a new position, thank you for the opportunity to be part of the team. 5-8 sentences max, don’t over share you never know the true intentions of an employer or how your departure may impact the department.

like

Just be honest and grateful for the opportunity to work for a great organization. You hope to continue to carry all you have learned forward to your next position.

Maybe this is the wrong place to ask, if so please let me know. I’m looking to try to shift into Human Resources direction. I took some class in college but a professor advised me to not continue since “no one really likes HR so why get a minor in it” and suggested a minor in communication instead.

So long story short I regret following that suggestion. Does anyone have any suggestions on certifications/classes I can take, or where I can better learn more about HR and what it entails.

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.

Hi all, new to fishbowl. I am currently a PTA working in homecare. I am considering changing career paths to non-clinical. Everything I search for available jobs in the pay range that I need seems to come up as sales, (Sr, executive, etc) I have zero sales experience, but could see myself working as a healthcare liason, recruiter, care coordinator, or pharm sales rep. I live in Dayton, OH. I would love some insight or feedback. I also see Gpac recruiting popping up, is this a reputable co? Ty!
