Inspired by another thread- has anyone reported something and ended up taking a severance/ signing an NDA? What was your experience?
Few years back, I heard from the inside Ogilvy Chicago and VSA formed an anti-poaching agreement to not hire each other's talent. I said nothing, taking no chance getting my source fired. Illegal?
I am an SAP FICO consultant on H1B. Got just laid off and looking for a job. Can you guys kindly give me some leads/referrals.
I’m trying to fix my resume, so I can be fully prepared if more layoffs happen at ACN. I really want to include client names, rather than a long description. I know about the NDAs, but what if we’re not disclosing confidential info and the partnership is public? What do you guys suggest? I really want my resume to be noticed.
Google hired Timnit Gebru to be an outspoken critic of unethical AI. Then she was fired for it. https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2020/12/23/google-timnit-gebru-ai-ethics/
Just got back from 2 week long PTO and the only emails in my inbox are the mass corporate ones... Did I get fired without knowing it? Lol
Advice needed! Have just been asked to Freelance with W2 form. Without any benefits. Is this even possible? Would I lose my eligibility for Unemployment insurance once the gig ends? I was laid off from my full time agency job 2 months ago and have already freelanced as self employed on an LLC since. Seems like they’re being tight and taking advantage of the current climate.
Clients spent 20 minutes during the middle of a meeting to shit on BCG for getting them laid off from their previous jobs. How's it feel to be the Bobs?
Did PWC announce layoffs today? Or were they more targeted / based on performance and utilization? My partner just met with HR 😢
Does anyone else think the Delta variant will lead to shutdowns and layoffs again? I want to leave my job but fear being the first to get the chop if March 2020 repeats itself. Should I just jump ship already? If it helps, I’m not in travel PR.
Ban on didn't get fired. He's on alt-employment.
Hello all Looking forward to have meaningful discussions w.r.t ACCA exams and course and job opportunities for ACCA qualified / part qualified :)
Feels like my heart is being squeezed! When I was dating this guy, he cancelled on 50% of the dates with me and didnt travel with me. But he’d go anywhere with his “platonic” F friend who he knew only
Another laid off case here. Anyone moving out of US considered keeping the 401K as is instead of withdrawing? Any pros / cons to keep in mind ? Pro I see is no penalty and the fact that it'll continue to grow till I turn 65. Con is that it's a decent size amount in my case and I might need some if that cash if I don't get a job soon 🙄
Laid off. Applying to jobs. Besides networking, what are the top job search platforms/websites? There’s LinkedIn, indeed, monster and Glassdoor. Anything else I’m missing or which is the “best”?
Do you consider time spent in a Master’s program, working ~20 hrs per week as a paid intern in a relevant position in your YOE? I’ve gotten mixed message on this from a variety of sources. Difference of 3 YOE vs 5 YOE at this point.
Is there an option or add-in for Outlook that automatically reduces the font or zoom for emails received from specific people that are typing large?
Best Marriott properties in Chattanooga (maybe Nashville)? Looking to use some free nights and upgrades.
As a first generation college graduate, first one to land a job in Corp. America, there’s so much that I wasn’t prepared for like 401k, investing, along with other things that increase your TC that aren’t bonuses or your base salary or how to diversify your income. I’m 25 and I feel like there is SO much I still don’t know. Any good book recommendations/youtubers/podcasts that helps navigate this?
Ok here it comes.
Anyone work at Slack and willing to chat? Looking into some opportunities and would love to learn more about the company culture as well as get a sense of roles/levels. Really appreciate it! Thank you.
Looking to get a few certifications, I have worked in both IT and HR consulting and am trying to decide between ITIL, SHRM, and PMP. Any thoughts on which would be best for future, quickest to get, hardest test? I get the cert paid for and a bonus upon completion, so trying to decide which one to pursue or the order if I want multiple.
Anyone hiring in healthcare willing to refer?
