Any tips on how to start and prepare my MBA Application? I don’t plan on applying till 2022 as I want to attend in 2023. What are things I can do to prepare now in order to have a strong application? Background: I’m aiming for HSW, M7, and top 15. I’m currently a Staff at EY within Business Consulting. I graduated from a Top 25 Business Undergrad - majoring in Finance and minor in Advertising with a 3.71 GPA. I want to pivot towards PM or Corporate Strategy in Tech, at Toyota, or Nike. TIA!

EY, I got my Roth IRA contributions set to max (30%). Does Fidelity automatically lower the % and stop contributions afterwards once I reach my 2022 limit?
Also at Deloitte, I had a couple thousand contributed in the beginning of the year. Does EY's 401k keep track of that as well towards the limit?

Go back to big four but not necessarily as audit? Everyone is hiring. You’ve got some new relevant experience under your belt.
My plan was to do this after a year at this place. It’s only been a few months and I’m already wanting to leave. Not sure I can handle a year. Also, is tech consulting at the big 4 staff aug too
Maybe you just need a different place to work at.. but this time make sure you know what the culture is like before you join them..
Agreed. Although, I researched the culture of this firm but still decided to take the job 😅Didn’t realise it was as bad as it seemed.
I came from risk assurance and have moved into consulting. A few of my projects are staff Aug and while they are not the best, I never regret leaving risk assurance.
You just stepped out of a comfort zone to move to the boutique. Stick it out to learn the ropes and it will get better
Hmm you’re right. How did you adjust though? Feel like risk assurance was boring but easy - I don’t want to go back but at the same time I’m not particularly excited about what I’m doing right now either.
Is this a case of stockholm syndrome?
Yes and no. My B4 firm was actually not bad but my department was just not it. Work was super dull but easy. Progressions were fast but everyone leaves after few years.
New firm - not as strong brand but better pay at consultant level. As I said staff aug and I don’t like the fact that I work FOR the client more than the firm.
