So I started my first remote tech job. Up until this point I’ve been a field tech. But I’m curious about my salary vs what other people are making in similar roles. Is 60K/year for a TSE decent to start?

Is it generally frowned upon to look for another job, get an offer and then use it to leverage for a higher salary at your existing company? I wouldn’t exclusively be doing it with the intention of screwing the company offering me a job.

Hello! I'm wondering if somebody here is looking for bilingual (english-spanish) HR staff (HRBP, Talent Development, etc) remote in the US?

Looking to lateral into a fully remote ECVC role to have more flexibility to move closer to family and to hopefully have a better work life balance. However, I was told by my recruiter that Cooley, Gunderson, and Goodwin said they’re not offering remote roles in ECVC at this time. For some context, I’m class of 2019 coming from a V10 with M&A and CapM experience. Anyone hearing or seeing similar things? Curious if fully remote is no longer offered as much or if the ECVC market has slowed.

I’m overall a health individual, track macros and go to the gym, but man for some reason this last year it has been extremely difficult to stay on my macros and follow my diet. Not sure if it’s the WFH or what, but I’m struggling to stay with it!

Some half a year ago, my gf moved across the country and took the family dog with her. It's an eight year old purse dog that no one ever bothered disciplining or socializing. Not really house trained, and the last flight she was on, the flight attendant threatened to put her on the no fly list. How does contract to hire work? If I’m offered $37/hr on w2 for 3 months and then possibly a permanent position, how much can I expect to get annually as a full time company employee as a BI data analyst II? I have a M.S. and certificates in DA but this will be my first job as DA.
I prefer working for what is offered on contract without negotiating, and then negotiate when I transition into the company itself so I have a better chance of getting the contract position and show my skills.
