So I work for a multimillion dollar company
Here’s my dilemma. I started as a temp in the traffic department as a scheduler in April of 2021. I was making 44K a year with ZERO benefits.
I applied for a different position in logistics and got the job! BUT is came with a HUGE pay cut. I went from making 44K a year to 32K. I work my butt off and feel like I should be making more for my responsibilities. I’ve only been here a year but I do more than I should.
Is it too soon to renegotiate my pay?

First and formsost does a career look bright at this company? Will your next position increase the salary? How is the company culture, leadership, industry, balance sheet, future expansion plans, etc. Really try and think macro, and if it’s worth staying even if you’re not happy with your current salary.

Hello everyone!

I’m looking for a new role, consulting.

Currently I work in internal audit and previously I was training to be a bank examiner with the OCC; both in capital markets areas.

I’m looking to pivot out of IA and into consulting.

Any recommendations/referrals for consulting roles? Any ideas on how to break into consulting from IA?

Thanks!

Dear Colleagues,
I had HR discussion today where I asked for 60 percent hike. HR said they need to check with business if they can approve this hike. She said she will come back to me post discussions with business. My question is if they do not approve of the asked amount will the HR come back stating what is the best that they can offer? Or they would simply reject my profile. What would be the timeline for offer letter generation if approval is received?

Can someone assist me with a negotiation? My friend is in a bad situation. She knows if she stays at current position, there’s no growth and they are looking for reasons to eliminate her position. She was offered $15,000 less than what she’s making now. Based on what the hiring manager said—his offer was a struggle to come with due to budget.
