Current comp 130k, rejected an offer of 150k in the hope of “fishing” for a higher comp. Also the company is very small and I’m concerned it might impact my exit opportunities. Did I made the right decision?

My wife is a family doctor, she is working insane hours, she is treating covid patients, and there is a lot of days when she has to stay at the hospital without coming home. My neighbour works in a local grocery store, so he has been at work since the Day 1 of lockdown. How easy is it to lateral from Deloitte human capital to MBB or a strategy firm? Seems like having a heavy HR focus may not have a lot of transferable skills. Don’t want to get stuck in HR forever.
