So… if you had to pick all over again which tax line ( international, Transfer pricing, corp, partnership, state or m&a. Etc?) you think is your 1st and 2nd choice?

I would not be picking tax again that's for sure.

Dude this wasn’t even close to a “ rant” 😂🤡

Corp is my only choice - but to specify I like the ASC 740 aspect not the actual compliance.

Wanted to follow up on this one... Deloitte Tax and Deloitte in general is clearly moving to the Digital Transformation or Operate space. Tax will always be necessary, but if you truly want to be on the cutting edge / paid correctly, these are the groups to be in. OTT or TMC. M&A will obviously always be the gold standard though. More hours on that end.

SALT first, International, a strong second.

5471 boring - no?

Anything but expat tax. I like the work, but rarely the practice groups and the exit opps are weaksauce.

Partnership & international

M&A and International

Wow no TP haha

Any group where you get 75%+ of your work in the tax provision realm. The sooner you start doing tax provisions the better.

Does anyone use a brokerage account instead of a checking account? Mine offers a fee free debit/atm card and free checks which I'd rarely use but starting to question whether it is worth maintaining my "big bank" checking account that requires a $1500 minimum balance.

Those of you who left for industry, what do you work towards in your role? I’m burnt out and worry that I’m making a rash decision lol. Thoughts?
